Reader's Choice - OPI My Twin Mimmy

Glad Påsk!!

Idag är det ju faktiskt påskafton och vilken tur att ni valde det alldeles påskgula OPI My Twin Mimmy som veckans läsarnas val. Ett alldeles perfekt lack för dagen i mitt tycke. 

Gula lack har en tendens att inte vara så kul att lack med, men My Twin Mimmy var ett av de bättre måste jag nog ändå säga. Inte superbra för tre lager behövs för att det ska bli jämt, men ja har varit med om bra mycket sämre gula krämlack vill jag lova. 

På bilderna är det alltså tre lager och topplack. Torktiden var bra och en av de positiva sakerna med det här lacket är att även om det krävdes tre lager för att det skulle se jämt ut så var det då inte så ojämnt att det krävde topplack. Jag tror man skulle kunna bära det här utan om man nu känner för det. För min egen del så har jag nästan alltid topplack för att förlänga hållbarheten. 

Jag tycker det här är en så himla glad och fin färg. Jag är inte den som bär gula lack så ofta och då är det mest pasteller som jag brukar använda mig av, men det här gillar jag verkligen. Ett litet vitaminpiller på naglarna och som sagt perfekt till påsk.

Today it's actually Easter Eve and how lucky am I that you chose the perfect Easter yellow OPI My Twin Mimmy for this week's Readers' Choice. An absolutely perfect polish for the day in my opinion.

Yellow polishes has a tendency to be less fun to paint with, but My Twin Mimmy was one of the better I must say. Not super easy you still need three layers for it to cover and not to be streaky, but yes have been through a good deal worse yellow cream polishes, I promise.

In the pictures I have three layers and topcoat on. The drying time was good and one of the positive things about this polish is that although it took three coats to make it look even it was then even and glossy enough to not required topcoat if you for some reason want to skip that. For my own part, I have almost always topcoat on to extend the life of the manicure. 

I think this is such a happy and nice color. I'm not the one wearing yellow polishes that often and when I do it's most pastels which I usually use, but this one I really like. It's like a vitamin pill on the nails and as I said perfect for Easter.

OPI - It's In The Cloud

Jag visade ju bilder på kommande OPI Soft Shade Pastels kollektionen och några dagar senare så dök dom upp i min brevlåda. Eller ja till mitt utlämningsställe i alla fall.

Först ut blir det ljusaste i kollektionen. Det här är It's In The Cloud ett nästan vitt lack, men med en liten liten beige ton. I beskrivning av lacket står att det har en silverton, men det vet jag inte riktigt om jag tycker.

Jag har tre lager på bilderna. Det blev lite strimmigt först, men om jag hade tagit något tjockare lager redan på första tror jag att det räckt med två lager. Nu blev det tre och topplack på det och då ser det alldeles underbart ut.

Faktum är att just det här lacket var ett av dom som lockade mig mest i kollektionen, fråga mig inte varför, men så är det. Och jag blev inte besviken. Jag tycker verkligen det här är så fint. Fräscht är väl ordet kanske. Och bara tänk på hur mycket kul man kan använda det här som bas till!

I början av April finns den här kollektionen i butiker i Sverige.

I showed the pictures of the upcoming OPI Soft Shade Pastels collection a while ago and a few days later they appeared in my mailbox. Well at my Service Point actually..

First up is the brightest in the collection. This is It's In The Cloud an almost white polish, but with a tiny tiny beige tone. In the description of the polish it says that it has a silverton, but I don't know if I agree with that. 

I have three layers in the images. It was a little streaky first, but if I had taken a bit thicker layer on the very first, I believe that it could have been enough with two layers. Now I had to do three and topcoat on that and after that it looked wonderful.

In fact this polish was one of those that attracted me the most in the collection, don't ask me why, but that's the truth. And I was not disappointed. I really think this is so nice. Fresh I guess is the word maybe. And just think about how much fun you can use this as a base to!

This collection will be in stores in Sweden in the beginning of April.

ABC Challenge - P = Purrfect Pawlish - Appearing And Vanishing

Jag har redan börjat fundera på vad jag ska hitta på för challenge när den här är slut. Har kommit på att jag tycker det är roligare att blogga och enklare om jag har vissa mål i veckan som ska fixas. Har ni några förslag får ni jättegärna lämna kommentarer.

Idag är vi i alla fall på bokstaven P och jag visar ett lack från Purrfect Pawlish. Faktiskt från Marias allra första kollektion The Cheshire Cat. Lacket heter Appearing And Vanishing och är ett duokromt lack som skiftar mellan brunt och lila eller kanske det är vinrött och lila.

Det här lacket ska gå att få opakt på egen hand, men jag valde att lägga ett lager över ett svart krämlack. Ett lager räcker liksom, du får inte mer effekt med två lager när du använder det till layering. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Den här typen av skiftningar är som ni säkert redan vet inte speciellt unik längre, men det betyder ju inte att det inte är fint. Eller hur?

För jag tycker det här är väldigt snyggt. Och ett enkelt sätt att pigga upp en manikyr för givetvis går det att använda över andra lack också även om jag misstänker att det gör sig bäst över svart.

I have already started thinking about what kind of challenge I want to do after this is over. I have come to the conclusion that I work best as a blogger when I have goals to achive every week like challenges. If you have any suggestions on challenges to do please leave a comment. 

Today, we are on the letter P and I show you a polish from Purrfect Pawlish. Actually from Maria's first collection called The Cheshire Cat. The polish is called Appearing And Vanishing and is a duochrome polish that changes between brown and purple, or maybe it's burgundy and purple.

This polish is possible to get opaque on it's own, but I chose to layer it over a black cream. One layer is enough, you don't get more shifts in it with two layers when you use it for layering. The drying time was good and in the pictures I have topcoat on too.

This type of shifts are as you probably already know, not very unique anymore, but that does not mean it's not nice. Right?

Because I think this is very neat. And an easy way to brighten up a manicure because it is of course possible to use it over other polishes than black although I suspect that it is best over black.

Grön Onsdag - Depend 4086 Pear Sorbet

Dags för ännu ett lack från Depends Five Shades Of Sorbet kollektion. Och även ett bidrag till Karins Gröna Onsdag. 

Idag är det 4086 Pear Sorbet som pryder mina naglar och precis som med de andra två så får ni se det i tre versioner. Utan topplack och med glansigt och matte topplack.

Även det här täckte utan problem med två lager. Inga ojämnheter efter torkning.

Pear Sorbet är ett ljust grönt pastell lack. Jag hade nog kunnat säga lite mintaktigt om det här, även om det faktiskt ser ut som päronglass också.

Det här är också ett väldigt fint vårlack som jag gillar färgen på riktigt mycket. Och återigen så tycker jag att det blev finast med matt topplack på.

Time for yet another polish from Depends Five Shades Of Sorbet collection. And also a contribution to Karins Green Wednesday. 

Today I show you 4086 Pear Sorbet and just as with the other two you will see it in three versions. Without topcoat and with glossy and matte topcoat.

This also covered without problems with two layers. No unevenness after drying.

Pear Sorbet is a light green pastel polish. I probably could have called it mint color, even though it actually looks like pear ice cream, too.

This is also a very nice spring polish and I like the color a lot. And again, I think the version with the matte topcoat appealed the most to me. 

Essie - Going Guru

Jag gillar verkligen gröna ljusa vårlack. Har svårt att låta bli att köpa sådana lack. Essie Going Guru är ett av de här lacken.

Det här är lite skarpare mintgrönt, men ändå åt pastell hållet. Tyvärr var inte formulan alls lika kul som på Nama-Stay The Night från samma kollektion. Det här var faktiskt lite knepigt att jobba med. ojämnt och svårt att få lagom mycket på borsten. För täckningens skull kanske två lager hade räckt, men det var så pass ojämnt att jag la på ett tredje. Och med topplack blir det riktigt bra.

Jag älskar ju färgen på det här, men det är inte ett superunikt lack så jag tror att man kan hitta liknande med något bättre egenskaper faktiskt.

I really like minty green spring polishes. Or pastell green polishes. I have a problem keeping myself from buying when I see one. And Essie Going Guru is one of these polishes that I couldn't resist. 

This is a little sharper mint green, but stil on the pastel side. Unfortunately the formula is nearly as fun as it was on Nama-Stay The Night from the same collection. This was actually a little tricky to work with. uneven and difficult to get the right amount of polish on the brush. For covering I think two layers might have been enough if it hasn't been so uneven. That made me add a third and with some topcoat everything looks fine. 

I love the color of this, but it's not a super unique polish so I think you can find something similar with better formula actually.
