Reader's Choice - A-England Fotheringhay Castle

A-England är absolut ett av mina favoritmärken inte bara av Indiemärkena utan av alla märken som jag testat av lack. Så därför blev jag glad när veckans läsarnas val blev just ett lack från det märket.

Fotheringhay Castle är ett av lacken ur Elisabeth & Mary kollektionen som kom förra hösten och jag inser nu att det bara är ett lack som jag inte har ur den. Får nog fundera på att ändra på den saken tror jag.

Det är ganska annorlunda grön nyans på det här lacket. Mossgrönt med mycket guld och så holo på det. Det påminner lite om ett av mina favoritlack nämligen China Glaze Agro, men är ändå helt olikt. Det där lät kanske skumt, men jag tror ni förstår hur jag menar ändå.

Som vanligt så är formulan helt fantastisk. Det täcker på två lager, men tar man till lite bättre på första så kan man nog klara sig med enbart ett lager. Torktiden är jättebra och på bilderna ser ni det med topplack. Det torkar lite åt det matta hållet faktiskt.

Jag gillar det här massor. Ett lack helt i min smak.

A-England is certinaly one of my favorite brands not only among the Indie brands but of all the brands I have tried so far. So therefore I was glad when this week's readers' choice became a polish from them. 

Fotheringhay Castle is one of the polishes from the Elizabeth & Mary collection that was released last fall and I now realize that it's just one polish that I don't have from it. Maybe I should change that.

It's quite a different shade of green on this polish. Moss Green with much gold and holo to top it all. It reminds me of one of my favorite polishes namely China Glaze Agro, yet is completely different. That sounded fishy perhaps, but I think you know what I mean though.

As usual, the formula is quite stunning. It covers in two layers, but if you take a little thicker on the first I think you could probably stay with one layer. The drying time is great and in the pictures you can see it with topcoat. It dries a little matte actually.

I like this a lot. A polish completely to my taste.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative Presents - Funky French #4

Då kör vi väl det sist inlägget på temat Funky French innan vi byter månad och tema i The Nail Challenge Collaborative.

Det här är nog första gången faktiskt som jag använt mig av ett mönster på en platta som är avsett för fransk manikyr. Det var ju riktigt kul.

Basen är Hare Lost On Abalone Seas som jag sen stämplat med ett mönster från Mash 28 och Models Own Chrome Green.

Tyckte nog att det blev en rätt kul kombo och att det gröna funkade bra på basen.

Here we go with the last post on the topic Funky French before we leave October and goes into November and a new theme in The Nail Challenge Collaborative.

This is probably the first time in fact that I used a pattern on a plate which is intended for French manicures. It was really fun.

The base is Hare Lost On Abalone Seas I then stamped with a pattern from Mash 28 and Models Own Chrome Green.

I think this turned out as a pretty fun combo and that the green worked fine with the base.

Black & Orange Nails!

Jag tog mig för att göra en något Halloween inspirerad manikyr. I och för sig helt utan varken spindlar eller döskallar, men med tanke på färgkombinationen och att ett av lacken är från en Halloween kollektion så kallar jag den för det.

Ett av lacken som jag använt är KB Shimmer Jack ett lack som jag hade trånat efter, men inte fått tag på. Trånat efter trots att det är strängglitter i det. Något som jag normalt sett inte gillar så mycket. I alla fall så lyckades jag hitta det här på en blogsale vilket jag är väldigt glad för. För även om det är strängglitter i så är Jack så himla fint. Eftersom det är svårt att få tag på så har jag snålat med de dyra dropparna och lagt det över svart.

De andra lacken jag använt mig av är Zoya Raven och Amy. Jack skulle nog lätt kunna ta sig in på en av mina topp 5 listor så här har jag alltså gjort en manikyr med bara favoritlack och jag gillar den skarpt.

I made myself a Halloween-inspired manicure. This completely without neither spiders or skulls, but given the color combination and that one of the polishes is from a Halloween collection I think it is ok to call it a Halloween manicure. 

One of the polishes that I used is KB Shimmer Jack a polish that I had longed for, but not gotten my hands on. I really wanted that polish and that is even if it has string glitter in it. Something I normally don't like so much. In any case, I managed to find this on a blog sale and for that I'm very happy. Because I really like this polish even the strings are ok. Since it is difficult to find this one I wanted to spare some of the expensive drops and have put it over black.

The other polishes I have used is Zoya Raven and Amy. Jack could probably easily be part of an glitter top 5 lists, so here I have therefore made a manicure with just favorite polishes and I like it a lot.

Det här är mitt första Hare Polish ett lack som jag fick med i en grab bag från Llarowe som enbart innehöll lack från A Box Indied.

Hur ska man förklara vad Lost On Abalone Shores ser ut egentligen. Tja, basen är en gråaktig jelly i alla fall sen är det massor av flakes i grönt och lila i olika former och skimmer i lite guldaktigt.  Det kan nog finnas lite prismatiskt glitter också.

Visst det här är ett kul lack, men inte något som jag direkt föll för. För täckning behövs fyra lager, men själva appliceringen är riktigt smidig. Torktiden är ok och på bilderna ser ni det med topplack på.

Hare är ett Indie märke som varit ganska hypat, men jag har faktiskt aldrig fallit speciellt för märket och det här lacket gjorde inte något större skillnad på den biten för mig.

How do you explain who Lost On Abalone Shores really looks like. Well, the base is a grayish jelly anyway then it's a lot of flakes in green and purple in various forms and shimmer in gold. It can probably be a little prismatic glitter too.

Certainly this is a fun polish but not something that I immediately fell for. For coverage I needed four layers, but the application was really smooth. The drying time is ok and in the images you see it with topcoat on.

Hare is an Indie brand that has been quite hyped, but I've actually never really fallen for for the brand and this polish did not make any major difference about that for me.

OPI - OPI Scores A Goal!

OPI Scores A Goal har en färg som jag normalt sett inte brukar gilla så mycket, för det är aningen mer brunaktigt än vad mina bilder visar. Men det är tydligen något med hösten som helt fått mig att börja gilla den här typen av lack. Plus att jag faktiskt tyckte att jag passade i färgen.

Lacket är ett riktigt mörkt rött eller som sagt nästan brunt och som något förvånande kommer från förra årets sommarkollektion som hetter Brazil.

Det är riktigt smidigt att måla med och täcker på två lager. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Jag har fått den här flaskan av fina Anne på Nailtastic och i ärlighetens namn hade jag nog inte köpt lacket om jag bara sett det i flaskan för där ser det inte speciellt frestande ut alls. Men på naglarna tycker jag det är trevligt och som sagt mer passande för hösten än sommaren.

OPI Scores A Goal is a color that I normally don't tend to like so much because it is a bit more brownish than my pictures shows. But it's apparently something with the autumn that completely makes me like colors I normally don't. Plus I actually thought it looked really nice to my skintone. 

The polish is a really dark red or brown and surprisingly is one of the polishes from last years summer collection Brazil.

It's really easy to paint with and covers in two layers. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I got this bottle from the wonderful Anne of Nailtastic and in all honesty I would not have bought the polish if I just seen it in the bottle where it does not look particularly tempting at all. But on the nails, I think it's nice and as I said, more suitable for autumn than summer.
