Grön Onsdag - Zoya Akyra

Lite sent så här så slänger jag in ett inlägg till Karins Gröna onsdag.

Lacket kommer från Zoya och heter Akyra. Det är absolut inget fel på det här lacket. Ett tja, teal färgat lack kan man nog säga. Faktum är att det är en ganska fin färg, men... Jag tyckte den var lite tråkig. Kanske för att den är så lik Trophy Wife och jag var ju lite besviken på den och det går lite igen på det här lacket.

Formulan var helt ok, lite skirt kanske så tre lager är vad jag har på och så Poshé på toppen.

Snyggt, men inget som jag får några varmare känslor för.

A bit late in the day for being me but here is finally todays post that also is part of Karins Green Wednesday. 

Today I show you Zoya Akyra. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this polish. I guess you can call it teal colored. Actually it's a rather nice color, but I think it is a bit boring. Maybe because it's kind of similar with Essie Trophy Wife that made me a bit dissapointed and I do get a bit of the same feeling with this polish. 

It was ok to paint with. You need three layers so maybe it was a bit sheer. I have a layer of Poshé over it as well.

As I said. Nice, but nothing that makes my heart skip a beat. 

Nabi Hologram - Green

Ett holo på en tisdag är väl aldrig fel!

Nabi Hologram Green är precis vad det låter som ett grönt hololack. Ett ganska blekgrönt holo. Jag upplevde det som lite knepigt att måla med. Skulle förmodligen haft Aqua Base under, men istället hade jag ingenting. Inte ens vanligt baslack. Det är lite skirt, men tre lager funkar i alla fall. Över detta har jag Sally Hansen Insta-Dri en ny bekantskap för mig.

Visst är det fint lacket, men jag tycker nog faktiskt att det är lite blekt. Hade gärna sett lite mer klös i det. Att det inte är superholo gör mig inget. Tycker det är en fin effekt i det.

Vad säger ni fin färg eller lite mesig?

A holo on a Tuesday is always right! 

Nabi Hologram Green is just what it sounds like a green holopolish. A pretty pale green holo. I felt that it was a little tricky to paint with. Should probably had used Aquabase as a base, but instead, I had nothing. Not even the usual base coat. It's a bit sheer, but three layers is enough. Over this I have Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, a new acquaintance for me. 

Sure it's a nice polish, but I think actually it's a little to faded. Would have liked to seen a little more edge in it. I don't mind that the effect of the holo isn't superstrong that is niced anyway. 

So what is your opinion about this polish?

Love Letters with MoYou Nails

För ett tag sedan blev jag kontaktad från MoYou Nails (ej samma som MoYou London) med en förfrågan om jag ville recensera deras stampingplattor. Självklart ville jag det så här kommer första manikyren jag gjort med MoYou Nails plattorna 238 & 97.

Jag kände direkt att jag ville kombinera dom här två till något som ska likna ett kärleksbrev. Jag har Zoya Purity som bas och har använt mig av Konads svarta lack, rött från Mentalitys Glaze kollektion till att fylla i hjärtat.

Med från MoYou Nails kom även en katalog med en befintliga set man kan köpa, men även information om kommande plattor. Fanns en del fina där. Även en stämpel och skrapa skickades med.

Jag var ganska skeptiskt till både stämpeln och skrapan först. Tyckte inte dom såg så värst bra ut och dessutom brukar jag inte gilla plastskrapor. Jag vill gärna ha med metall på också, men jag blev mycket positivt överraskad. Skrapan funkade bra, även om jag fortfarande föredrar med metall. Men det jag blev mest överraskad över var stämpeln. Ofta när man köper stämplar så måste man rengöra eller kanske till och med fila till dom innan det går att använda dom. Det behövde man inte alls här. Den plockar upp motivet jättefint direkt. Jag tyckte också att den var lagom mjuk i konsistensen.

Plattorna i sig är lagom djupt etsade. Hjärtan som det är på platta 238 har man alltid användning för. Text är väl kanske lite knepigare, men jag visste ju redan vad jag ville göra när jag såg dom här två.

Jag har även gjort lite svampning över det vita för att få det att se lite mer pergament aktigt ut.

Allt som allt är jag mycket nöjd både med stämpel, skrapa, plattor och framför allt med hur manikyren blev.

A while ago I was contacted by MoYou Nails (not the same as MoYou London) with a question if I wanted to review their stamping plates. That was something I thought would be fun so here comes the first manicure I made with MoYou Nails plates 238 & 97. 

I knew immediately that I wanted to combine these two to something that should resemble a love letter. I have Zoya Purity as a base and have used Konad black stamping polish and red from Mentalitys Glaze collection to fill the heart. 

MoYou Nails was also nice to send me their latest catalog with all existing sets you can buy, but also information about upcoming plates. There were some fine once there. Even a stamp and scrape was included. 

I was quite skeptical about both the stamp and the scraper first. They didn't  look so very good at first sight. I usually don't like plastic scrapers, I really like the once with metall edge, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The scraper worked well, although I still prefer the metal. But what I was most surprised about was the stamp. Often when buying stamps, you have to clean or perhaps even file the surface before it is possible to use them. That was not necessary at all here. It picks up the pattern from the plate without any trouble at all. I also thought that it was moderately soft in it's texture. 

The plates themselves are moderately deeply etched. You always have the use for hearts as it is on plate 238. Text is perhaps a bit trickier, but I already knew what I wanted to do when I saw these two.

I have also done a bit of sponging over the white polish to make it look a little more like parchment. 

All in all I am very pleased with both the stamp, scraper, plates and especially with how the manicure turned out.

Nailart Sunday - Neon

Vilken underbar dag det här verkar bli! Solen skiner och jag har några timmar för mig själv att swatcha lack :)

Temat för Lelacks Nailart Sunday är idag Neon något som jag absolut tycker hör sommaren till. Jag kände att det var länge sedan jag hade något prickigt här så varför inte lägga en vit bas och sen kombinera en hel hög med underbara neoner.

Som bas har jag Zoya Purity, mitt vita favoritlack, sen är det China Glaze Purple Panic, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Sun Worshipper och sist Amerian Apparel Neon Green.

What a wonderful day this seem to turn out to! The sun is shining and I have a few hours to myself to do some swatching :) 

The theme of Lelacks Nailart Sunday today is Neon something I definitely think is a part of the summer. I felt it was long since I had something with dots here so why not add a white base and then combine a whole bunch of wonderful neons. 

As a base, I have Zoya Purity, my favorite white polish, then it's China Glaze Purple Panic, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Sun Worshipper, and last Amerian Apparel Neon Green.
