Pink with flowers!

Idag blir det en recension av vattendekaler från Born Pretty Store. Jag har valt att använda dom ihop med det ljust rosa OPI Small + Cute =<3 en kombination som jag tycker blev fantastiskt fin.

Jag upplevde att dom lossnade lätt från det skyddande pappersarket, men att dom inte fastnade superlätt på nageln. Det kan dock ha att göra med att jag hde topplack under. Misstänker att dom kanske fastnar enklare utan. Dock var det inget större problem. 

Jag hade inte klippt till dom här så värst mycket innan utan smälte lätt bort överflödet med lite ren aceton på en pensel istället. 

Den här manikyren blev en sån där lagom blandning mellan gullig och dramatisk att jag fullständigt älskade den. Tycker att färgerna och mönstren på dekaler och lack gifte sig riktigt bra.

Today I have a review of water decals from Born Pretty Store. I have chosen to use them together with the lightt pink OPI Small + Cute = <3 a combination that I think was beautiful.

I felt that they came off easily from the protective sheet of paper, but they didn't stick supereasy to the nail. It may have to do with me having topcoat over the polish that I was placing them on. I suspect that they might get caught easier without. However, it was not a major problem.

I had not cut them down that much before applying but they are easy to remove by melting them away with som pure acetone on a brush instead.

I think this manicure is one of those with the right mix between cute and dramatic. And I totally loved it. The colors and the pattern on the decals and married really great.

ABC Challenge - L = L'oreal Perle De Jade

L = L'oreal Perle De Jade ett lack som jag fick av en jobbarkompis som varit på ett event och fått det här gratis. Hon tyckte jag hade mer nytta av det en hon. Nu är det över ett år sedan den kollegan slutade hos oss och jag har en känsla av att det var en bra bit mer än ett år sedan jag fick det här lacket.

Men jag kollade på L'oreals sida och det verkar faktiskt vara ett av deras baskollektions lack så det går att få tag på fortfarande.

I alla fall så är Perle De Jade ett ljust mintgrönt kräm lack. Det var inte det roligaste jag målat med, men absolut inte det värsta heller. Ganska strimmigt till en början, men efter tre lager och topplack så jämnade ut sig väldigt bra. Torktiden var också bra.

En sak som jag verkligen gillar i dom här små flaskorna är penseln. lite bredare, men med en rundad kant som gör det lätt att applicera lacket.

Jag tycker den här färgen är riktigt vacker. En ganska lugnande färg och väldigt fin att bära så här på vårkanten. (Även om det är en massa snö ute just när jag skriver det här!)

L'Oreal Perle de Jade is a polish that I got from a workmate who had been at an event and got it for free. She thought I had more use of it than she had. Now it's over a year since that colleague changed her job and is no longer working with me and I have a feeling that there was a good bit more than a year ago that I got this polish.

But I checked the L'Oreal site and at least in Sweden it looks like this actually is a part of their basic collection so it's still possible to buy. 

In all cases Perle de Jade is a light mint green cream polish. It was not the most fun to paint with that I have ever tried but certainly not the worst either. It did look pretty streaky at first, but after three coats and top coat it leveled out very well. The drying time was also good.

One thing I really like in these  little bottles are the brush, It's a little wider, but with a rounded edge that makes it easy to apply the polish.

I think this color is really beautiful. A quite soothing color and very nice to wear at spring time. (Although there is a lot of snow outside my window when I write this!)

OPI Small + Cute = Heart

Ett gulligt rosa är inte så ofta jag köper alldeles själv kanske, men så är fallet med OPI Small + Cute = <3

Ibland måste man ju utmana sig själv och faktiskt testa färger eller nyanser av färger som man tidigare varit lite skeptiskt till. Och i det här fallet lönade det sig. För jag tycker att det här är riktigt fint.

Däremot var det lite sådär att måla med. I och för sig inget ovanligt för den här typen av lite pastelliga färger och absolut inget som inte gick att fixa till. De första två lagren var rätt strimmiga, men jag upplevde att det tredje rättade till det hela ganska bra och med ett topplack på så syns inget av ojämnheten alls.

Som sagt ibland måste man testa saker som man tidigare kanske till och med känt sig obekväm i. Just Small + Cute = <3 trivdes jag förvånansvärt bra i. Och jag tycker att det funkade ganska bra mot min hud också. Om man dessutom som jag gillar att stämpla och fixa lite med nail art är en ljusare rosa rätt bra att ha i sin samling.

Sometimes you have to challenge yourself and actually test  colors or shades of colors that you had previously been a bit skeptical to. And in this case it paid off. Because I think this is really nice.

However, it was a bit hard to work with. Nothing unusual for this kind of pastel colors and absolutely not nothing that could not be fixed. The first two layers was pretty streaky, but I felt that the third straightened it up pretty good and with a top coat on the problem was solved.

As I said sometimes you have to try things that you previously perhaps even felt uncomfortable in. Small + Cute = <3 is a polish that I liked a lot more than I expected so it was well worth trying. And I think it worked out pretty good against my skin as well. If you also, like me, have a soft spot for stamping and other nail arts you should really have this kind of color in your collection.

Colors By Llarowe - Punkin'

Idag visar jag ett lack som jag fått i present i födelsedagsgrupp jag är med i.

Nu vet inte jag om min flaska kanske tappat lite färg, för jag hade föreställt mig det här bra mycket mer orange än vad jag upplever att det är. Det är så jag upplever bilder jag sett på nätet.  Och jag tycker nog att mina bilder är ganska så färgkorrekta faktiskt.

Jag blev lite skeptiskt när jag målade på första lagret och kände att oj det här kommer aldrig att täcka på egen hand, men det gjorde det. Det byggde upp fantastiskt bra och tre lager är helt ok. Torktiden var bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Alltså det är ju inte så att jag inte gillar färgen som den är, för den ser rätt smarrig ut faktiskt, men jag hade förväntat mig något lite annat. Så lite förvånad blev jag nog allt.

Någon annan som upplevt det här med Punkin'?

Today I show a polish that I got as a present from my birthday group. 

Now I don't know if my bottle maybe lost a little color because I had imagined this far more orange than what I experience it. At least that is how it looks on others swatch pictures. And I think that my pictures are quite color-accurate indeed.

I was a bit skeptical when I painted the first coat and felt that oh this will never cover on its own, but it did. It built up fantastically well, and three layers is quite ok. The drying time was good. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

So it's not that I do not like the color as it is. It's looks pretty yummy actually, but I was expecting something a little different. So I was a little surprised.

Anyone else experienced this with Punkin '?

ABC Challenge - K = Kubiss Denim Effect

Dags för bokstaven K och den får representeras av Kubiss Denim Effect Nails ett lack som jag letade ganska länge efter och till slut hittade i en blogsale. Och resten är historia.. Ja, ni vet det har stått över ett år i lådan.

Anledningen till att jag letade efter det här är att jag är en jeanstjej av rang. Sällan jag går klädd i något annat faktiskt. Så det här lacket kändes som att det var gjort för mig.

Och det var det också. Förra veckan visade jag ett annat jeans inspirerat lack som inte riktigt fyllde mina förväntningar, men det gör det här absolut.

Denim Effect är verkligen jeansfärgat i grunden, med massa silverskimmer och så torkar det lite halvmatt så det blir en bra effekt som faktiskt liknar jeans den här gången.

Nu blev inte mina bilder som jag tog direkt efter jag lackat riktigt bra, så ni får se lacket med ett matt överlack på vilket jag i och för sig inte tycker gjorde så stor skillnad från hur det såg ut innan jag la på överlacket. Och i vilket fall som helst så gillar jag hur det ser ut så här.

Det här gillade jag verkligen väldigt mycket. Ett lack som nästan borde fått heta Helena, the girl in the blue jeans tycker jag.

Time for the letter K and it will be represented by Kubiss Denim Effect Nails a polish that I was looking for quite a while and eventually found in a blog sale. And the rest is history .. Yes, you know it has been over a year in the untried box.

The reason I was looking for this is that I'm a jeans girl. I rarely go dressed in anything else, actually. So this polish felt like it was done for me.

And it was! Last week I showed another jeans inspired polish that didn't really filled my expectations, but this one certinaly does. 

Denim Effect is really jeans colored with lots of silver shimmer and it dries a little semi-matte so it becomes a great effect that actually resembles jeans this time.

The pictures I took right after applying this didn't turn out the way I had planned, so you get to see the polish with a matte top coat on which I feel didn't change the polish that much from how it was without. And in any case, I like how it looks like this.

This I really liked very much. A polish that almost should have been called Helena, the girl in the blue jeans, I think.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Punk & Rock #1

Idag visar jag den första av fyra manikyrer i The Nail Challenge Collaboratives Punk & Rock tema.

För mig är det här ett riktigt kul tema som jag känner det kan bli många olika typer av manikyrer bland.

Jag var tonåring under 80-talet (jo, jag är så gammal..) och då var mycket hårdrock som gällde och många av banden var dom här lite glammig med stora hårsvall som t.ex Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi och så vidare. När jag tänker tillbaka på dom banden så var det inte bara håret utan även kläderna som syntes rätt väl. Ofta med djurmönster så det är vad som inspirerat min första Punk & Rock manikyr.

Basen är Turtle Tootsie Polishes Spring Bouquet som jag sen stämplat med MoYou London Pro collection 03 i ett Zebra mönster som inte riktigt ville sig på alla naglarna, men vad gör väl det.

Jag tyckte kombinationen av den här färgen och mönstret blev riktigt bra och för mig funkar den bra in i temat.

Today I will show the first of four manicures in The Nail Challenge Collaboratives Punk & Rock theme.

For me this is a really fun theme that I feel can be interpreted in many different types of manicures.

I was a teenager in the 80's (yes, I am that old ..) and back then it was a lot of hard rock bands that was popular and many of the bands were Big hair bands such as Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi and so on . They also dressed pretty special. And when I think back on those bands it was not just the hair, but also the clothes that was important. Often with animal patterns and that's what inspired my first Punk & Rock manicure.

The base is Turtle Tootsie Polishes Spring Bouquet that I stamped with a pattern from MoYou London Pro Collection 03 in a zebra pattern that didn't really want to turn out as it should on all the nails, but who cares.

I thought the combination of this color and the pattern was really good and for me it works well with the theme.

Reader's Choice - Nail Pattern Baldness Charm

Då var vi framme vid ännu en lördag och givetvis ännu ett inlägg med läsarnas val.

Och återigen har ni valt ett helt fantastiskt lack åt mig. Dagens lack är nämligen Nail Pattern Boldness Charm ett vårgrönt lack med helt underbar holoeffekt.

Smidigt att lacka med och täcker på två lager. Torkar fort och på bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Det här är så himla mycket jag i en flaska. Älskar verkligen färgen på det här lacket. Det här är nästan som medicin för själen faktiskt. För det är rätt svårt att vara ledsen eller tjurig när man tittar ner på naglarna och får syn på det här.

Om ni inte redan förstått det så gillar jag Charm skarpt.

Om jag var du som skulle rösta hade jag haft svårt att välja av alternativen till nästa veckas lack.

And again you have chosen a fantastic polish for me. Because today I will show you Nail Pattern Boldness Charm a spring green polish with wonderful holographic effect.

It was very easy to work with and covers in two layers. It dries quickly and in the pictures I hve topcoat on too.

This is so very much me in a bottle. I really love the color of this polish. This is almost like medicine for the soul in my opinion. For it is quite difficult to be sad or grumpy when you look down at your nails and sees this.

If haven't already already understod it, I like Charm.. A lot!

If I was of you that can vote for next weeks polishes I would have a hard time chosing among the ones for next weeks reader's choice. 

Turtle Tootsie Polishes - Spring Bouquet

Idag släpper Turtle Tootsie Polishes sin nya vårkollektion med 7 stycken pastellfärgade holos.

Vid en beställning därifrån så fick jag ett överraskningslack som visade sig vara ett av dessa nya lack. Och självklart vill jag då visa det här hos mig idag

Det här är Spring Bouquet ett ljust lila pastellfärgat lack med holo. Skulle nog vilja säga att det är åt lavendelhållet.

Lacket var enkelt att jobba med och täcker på två lager. Torktid ok, men inte supersnabb. På bilderna har jag topplack över också.

Det här är väl inte en helt vanlig holofärg kan jag tycka. Vilket också får mig att gilla det lite extra. Färgen i sig är fin och mycket vårig. Kort sagt. Jag gillar det här.

 

Today is the release date of Turtle Tootsie Polishes new spring collection that consists of seven pastel Holos.

I made an order from TTP and got a surprise polish with it that turned out to be one of these new ones. And of course I wanted to show it today then. 

This is Spring Bouquet a light purple pastel polish with holo. I would say that it's kind of lavender colored.

The polish was easy to work with and covers in two layers. The drying time is ok, but not super fast. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I don't think this is a very common color for a holographic polish. Which also makes me like it a little extra. The color is really nice and is really perfect for spring. Shortly stated. I like this.

ABC Challenge - J = El Corazón 423/262

Jag hade faktiskt inget lack som började med bokstaven J varken märke eller lacknamn. Eller i alla fall inget otestat. Reglerna i utmaningen säger då att det är ok att använda ett lack som enbart har siffror som betäckning istället för namn.

Jag plockade därför fram El Corazón 423/262 som är ett av lacken i deras kräm kollektion.

Det här lacket är ett senapsfärgat krämlack, ni som har småbarn kan säkert relatera till något annat också.. Jag kan inte för mitt liv tycka att det här snyggt. Nä, inte på något sätt, men jag är rätt säker på att jag kan använda det som underlag till någon nail art i framtiden.

Det var i alla fall smidigt att lacka med och täcker på två lager. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

I didn't actually have any polishes that begun with the letter J neither brands or polish names. Or at least nothing untested. The rules of the challenge then says that it is ok to use a polish that has only numbers instead of names.

I therefore picked up El Corazón 423/262 which is one of the polishes in their cream collection.

This polish is a mustard colored creme polisht, you who have young children can certainly relate to something else, too .. I can't for my life say that I like this or think it looks nice. Nah, no way, but I'm pretty sure that I can use it as a basis for some nail art in the future.

It was certainly easy to paint with and covers in two layers. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

Review of Waterdecals from Lady Queen

I höstas så fick jag ett paket med olika nail art produkter från Lady Queen för recension och idag visar jag det sista av dom grejerna som är vattendekaler. 

Jag gillar vattendekaler även om jag ibland glömmer bort att jag har en massa och så ligger dom och bara väntar på att bli använda.

Dom var enkla att jobba med och lossnade lätt från pappersarket. Jag har inte jättelånga naglar så dom var något för långa, men det är lätt att smälta bort överflödig dekal med lite aceton. 

Allt som allt så gillar dom här riktigt mycket och tycker det blev en bra kombo.

Last fall, I received a package with various nail art products from Lady Queen for review and today I show the last of that stuff and it's water decals.

I like water decals although I sometimes forget that I have a lot and they get laying just waiting to be used.

You get ten decals in this package and everyone is with a different pattern. I chose this one with the butterfly because the flowers next to it picked up the color from Glam Polish Fruit Of The Poisonous Tree so perfect.

They were easy to work with and came off easily from the protecting paper sheet. I don't have very long nails so they were slightly too long, but it is easy to melt away excess decal with a little acetone.

All in all I really like them a lot and think it was a good combo.

February Haul

En ganska lugn lackmånad visade sig Februari bli. En beställning från Transdesign och en från Harlow & Co var väl de stora bovarna i dramat. 

February turned out to be a pretty calm month when it came to polish deliverys. I got one shipment from Transdesign and one from Harlow & Co but that's pretty much it.
