Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Smitten Polish Glacial Springs

Helt ärligt så är dom här bilderna kassa. Kanske inte kvalitetsmässigt, men färgmässigt, men jag insåg när jag surfade runt att det inte fanns så många helt färgkorrekta bilder på just det här lacket. Och jag förstår varför. Det gick liksom inte att fånga på bild.

Lacket är i alla fall Smitten Polish Glacial Springs och jag som spenderat en eftermiddag i solen med det här lacket på naglarna kan bara säga att det är gudomligt! Jag skulle vilja påstå att det är mer åt det turkosa eller möjligen tealfärgade hållet och mycket mer knalligt än vad det framstår på bilderna. Sen ska vi inte bara tala om glittret i det. Som en discokula faktiskt.

Dessutom var det smidigt att applicera. Tre lager har jag på, man kan säker slänga på ett fjärde också, men jag tyckte faktiskt inte det kändes nödvändigt. Jag har ett lager med topplack också. Efter att ha haft lacket på ett antal timmar så kändes det fortfarande ok med bara ett lager vilket jag faktiskt inte räknat med utan trodde att jag skulle få lägga på ett till.

Jag är helt såld på det här lacket. Glacial Springs är så otroligt fint, ni borde faktiskt köpa en flaska var av det här och bara njuta!

Quite honestly these pictures of todays polish sucks. Maybe not the quality but in terms of color, but I realized when I was surfing around that there were almost no color-accurate images of this polish. And I understand why it was completly impossible to get it right. 

The polish is Smitten Polish Glacial Springs and I spent an afternoon in the sun with this polish on the nails and I can honestly say that it is divine! I would say that it's more turquoise or possibly teal colored and more vibrant than it appears in the pictures. And then we have the glitter in it. As a disco ball actually.

Moreover, it was easy to apply. I have three layers on I guess you could have a forth if you want to but I didn't think it was necessary. I have a layer of top coat on. After having the polish on the nails for a number of hours it still felt ok with just one layer of topcoat which I actually didn't count on I thought that I would need to put another on.

I'm completely in love with this polish. Glacial Springs is so incredibly nice, you should actually buy a bottle each of this and just enjoy!

Stamping with Mentality Neon Green Yellow

Får man hem ett gäng med stamping lack så är det väl klart att man testar dom! Med Mentality Frenzy på naglarna kände jag att jag måste prova en neon ton i ton stamping.

Mentality Neon Green Yellow Opaque kändes som att den skulle gifta sig bra med Frenzy och det hade jag rätt i. Stjärnmönstret kommer från Mash 49.

Det här blev ju en klart kul manikyr. Inget jag bär särskilt länge kanske, men absolut när jag känner för att pigga upp mig lite grann och tänk vad mycket kul man kan göra med neon stamping lack!

På flaskbilden är det faktiskt Mentality Frenzy som jag håller i.

 

If you like me gets home a bunch of stamping polishes it'ss well understood that you need to test them! With Mentality Frenzy on my nails I felt that I had to try a neon tone in tone stamping.

Mentality Neon Green Yellow Opaque felt like that would marry well with Frenzy and I was right. The Star pattern comes from Mash 49.

This definitly became a fun manicure. Nothing I would wear for very long, perhaps, but certainly when I feel like cheering me up a little bit and just think how much fun you can make with neon stamping polishes!

In the bottle picture I'm actually holding Mentality Frenzy.

Orly - Ablaze

Det här var en liten rackare att försöka fånga på foto måste jag säga. För hur jag än gör så lyckas jag inte riktigt få fram hur härligt nästan självlysande Orly Ablaze faktiskt är.

Fast äkta neon vågar jag inte påstå för det torkar inte matt. Lacket är i alla fall riktigt skarpt orange med guldskimmer i.

Jag har tre lager utan topplack på bilderna och även om det inte syns hur illande orange det här faktiskt är så tycker jag ändå att det syns att det är snyggt. Det torkade fort och var trevligt att måla med.

Jag blir glad av sådana här färger och det lilla fina guldskimret i Ablaze gör faktiskt ganska mycket för att lacket ska bli lite mer unikt än ett vanligt neon lack.

 

This was really tricky to capture on photos I must say. For what ever I tried I couldn't really get it to show how wonderfully almost luminous Orly Ablaze actually is.

I'm not sure you could call it a genuine neon because it doesn't dry completly matte. The polish is in any case quite bright orange with gold shimmer.

I have three layers without top coat on in the pictures and although it does not show how amazing orange this is indeed I still feel that it is visible that it is really neat. It dried quickly and was nice to paint with.

I feel happy when I'm wearing this kind of color and the beautifull golden shimmer in Ablaze actually do quite a lot to make this polish stand out from other neons. 

Grön Onsdag - Mentality Frenzy

Igår fick jag ett härligt paket från Edgy Polish innehållande fyra stycken neoner från Mentality och en hel bunt med neon stampinglack också från Mentality.

Jag kunde inte låta bli att dyka rakt ner bland lacken och först ut att testas blev Frenzy. Ett grön/gult holo med neonton. Det är varken superneon eller superholo, men det är superfint i alla fall. Och så passar det ju till Karins Gröna Onsdag också.

Visst tusan är det ett neon, men inte ett sånt man blir direkt bländad av kanske. Det här är en jelly och normalt sett så är inte det något som jag brukar köpa, men jag kunde inte låta bli när ett av mina favoritmärken släpper så härliga färger. Och faktum är att jag tror man till och med skulle kunna få det här att täcka helt om man vill.

Jag har lagt på tre lager och ja, det finns en liten VNL, men den stör inte mig och då är den inte stor vill jag lova. Torktiden var helt ok och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Älskar verkligen färgen på det här. Tycker nog att jag till slut fick fram den rätt bra på fotona. Jag har flyttat min lightbox till ett nytt rum och håller just nu på att klura ut hur jag bäst ställer in kameran efter de nya förhållandena gällande lyset där. Just dom här fotona är dock inte tagna i lightbox alls.

 

Yesterday I received a wonderful package from Edgy Polish containing four neons from Mentality and a whole bunch of neon opaques for stamping also by Mentality.

I immediatly wanted to use them and the first to be tested was Frenzy. A green / yellow holo neon polish. It is neither a super neon or superholo, but it is super nice anyway. And it suits Karins Green Wednesday too.

I have to correct myself becasue this surely is a neon, but maybe not like the once that you become immediately dazzled by. This is a jelly and normally it's not something I usually buy, but I could not resist when one of my favorite brands releases such beautiful colors. And in fact I think you would be able to get this to cover completely if you want.

I've put on three layers and yes, there is a small VNL, but it didn't disturb me and then it is not big, I promise. The drying time was ok and I have topcoat on in the images.

I really love the color of this. I do think that I finally got it pretty accurate in the photos. I have moved my lightbox to a new room and is currently figuring out how to best set the camera to the new conditions regarding the lights in there. But these photos are not taken in a lightbox at all.

A-England - Proserpine

Ett till A-England tänker ni nu och ja precis så blir det. Det här är lack nummer två som jag fick från Katarina på Edgy Polish. Proserpine från nya Rossetti's Goddess kollektionen.

Proserpine är ett mörkt tealfärgat lack med subtilt holo i. Ett lack som är rent förbaskat snyggt om jag nu får uttrycka mig så och det får jag ju eftersom det är min blogg :)

Precis som med andra A-England lack är det bra att måla med. Ingen städning behövs här inte. Täcker på två lager och torkar fort. På fotona har jag topplack på också.

Det här är ett lack som jag lätt skulle kunna tänka mig att bära när jag vet att jag ska iväg och inte kan lacka om på ett tag. Helt underbar färg och även om det inte är otroliga regnbågar i det så skapar holot ett djup som är fantastiskt.

Another A-England polish you might think and yes that is exactly what this is. This is polish number two that I got from Katarina at Edgy Polish. Proserpine from the new Rossetti's Goddess Collection.

Proserpine is a dark tealcolored polish with subtle holo. A polish that is so darned neat if I may say so and I can because it's my blog :)

As with other A-England polishes it's good to paint with. No cleaning is needed after painting with this. It covers in two layers and dries quickly. In the photos I have a topcoat on too.

This is a polish that I could easily imagine wearing when I know I'll be away for a while and can't redo my nails. Absolutely wonderful color and although it's not incredible rainbows in it the holo creates a depth that is amazing.
