Christmas Gradient

Igår skrev jag att jag för lat för att byta manikyr tills vi skulle till svärmor och fira jul. Jag skulle ju ändå ha samma färger på kläderna som på julafton. Glöm det där är ni snälla!

Jag har som ni säkert märkt snöat in lite på gradients sista tiden och trots allt fick jag lite inspiration igår och plockade bort den svart/röda varianten som redan satt på naglarna och gjorde så här istället.

Började med tre lager av helt underbara Torrid från Orly över det gjorde jag en svart gradient med hjälp av A-England Bridal Veil. Sen hade ju jag tänkt att sluta där egentligen, men... Det är ju så kul att testa lite olika saker så jag la på ett lager av också helt underbara Darling Diva Polish A Christmas Story över.  Ja, och ett lager Seche också.

Återigen en manikyr som jag blev otroligt nöjd med. Nu ska jag bland annat jobba tillsammans med sonen på min logga och så ska jag fundera lite över vilka lack som ska hamna på min top 10 lista för året.

Yesterday I wrote that I was too lazy to change manicures from the one I had on Christmas Eve til we were going to my mother in laws house on Christmas Day. I would after all have the same colors on the clothes that I had the day before. Forget what I wrote, please!

I have, as you probably noticed become a bit of an addict to gradients lately and after all, I got some inspiration yesterday and removed the black/red version that already sat on my nails and did this instead.

I started with three layers of lovely Torrid from Orly and over that I did a black gradient with the help of A-England Bridal Veil. Then I had planned to stop there, really, but ... It's so fun to try some different things so I put on a layer of amazing Darling Diva Polish A Christmas Story over. And a layer of Seche as well.

Again, a manicure that I was incredibly happy with. Now I will work with my son to fix a new logo for my blog and I'll give some thought about what polishes that will be in my top ten of 2012 list that I will publish before the year is over.

Spy with joy!

Juldagen kommer att tillbringas hos svärmor för ännu ett julfirande och ännu mer julmat :)

Funderar på att vara riktigt slö och faktiskt behålla manikyren från igår på klorna. Färgschemat är ändå detsamma. Svart och rött.

Själv hade jag en riktigt lugn och skön julafton och ett lack låg det under granen, men det får ni se en annan dag. Dock inte på Annandagen tror jag.

Det jag istället ska visa er är en manikyr jag gjorde häromdagen för att testa lite grann. En jag egentligen hade tänkt ha på julafton, men ändrade mig.

Det är OPI:s The Spy who loved me i botten och sen har jag lagt China Glaze Pure Joy från roten av nageln och bara dragit ut det som någon slags gradient. Resultatet blev riktigt bra, men bilderna gör det inte alls rättvisa.

Christmas Day will be spent at my mother in laws house with my husbands family and lots of more Christmas food!

I think I will be really lazy and actually keep the manicure from yesterday on the claws. The color scheme is still the same. Black and red.

Personally, I had a really relaxing and peaceful Christmas and there was a polish in one of my gifts that you will get to see another day.

Instead I'll show you a manicure I did the other day to test a little. One I really had intended to have on Christmas Eve, but changed my mind.

It's OPI's The Spy who loved me as a base and then I added China Glaze Pure Joy from the root of the nail and just pulled it out as some kind of gradient. The result was really good, but the pictures do not do it justice at all.
 
For those of you that celebrates Christmas today I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and for the rest of us I hope that the rest of you holidays will be nice and calm.

OPI Gettin' Miss Piggy with it - GOD JUL!

Så kom den då äntligen.. Julafton alltså. Utanför fönstret är marken alldeles vit och inne i huset är julpyntat och mysigt!

Snart dags att börja fundera på vad man ska ha på sig, plocka ihop sina saker och bege sig till min mamma för det traditionella julbordet med familjen. Jag längtar efter dopp i grytan, jo jag tillhör dom som tycker det är gott :)

Jag har absolut ingen aning om vad jag ska få i julklapp från någon, men jag hoppas att det kanske ligger någon liten flaska där under granen. Eller nu ljög jag lite för jag vet ju att äldste grabben gjort en ny logga till bloggen. Ska bli spännande att se vad han hittat på.

Jag vill givetvis passa på att önska alla en riktigt GOD JUL! Hoppas alla får en lugn och skön dag utan stress och tråkigheter i trafiken.

Dagens manikyr är en som jag bar redan förra året när jag var på julbord med gubbens jobb. Det är helt och hållet Nailtastics förtjänst att jag köpte det här lacket och att jag bär det som jag gör. Lacket är från förra årets The Muppets kollektion som blev otroligt mycket omskriven. Det är även det första och även det enda OPI lacket som jag faktiskt gått och köpt i en svensk affär! Det här var innan jag bröt min Transdesign oskuld. Jag har lagt ett lager av Gettin' Miss Piggy with it över NOX Twillight Black Tie som för övrigt är ett helt underbart svart cremelack.

Som ni säkert redan vet så är detta ett glitterlack i en klar bas bestående av röda glitter i olika storlekar och även lite silverpartiklar, med betoning på lite. Jag älskar det här lacket och jag älskar den här kombinationen och eftersom min tanke är att vara svart/rött klädd idag så fick detta återigen pryda mina naglar och det är säkerligen inte sista gången heller.

 

It's finally here .. Christmas Eve that is. Outside the window, the ground is completely white and inside the house it's cozy and warm with the Christmas Tree and other decorations!

Soon time to start thinking about what to wear, pick up the things I need to bring with me and go to my mom for the traditional Christmas dinner with the family. 

I have absolutely no idea what I will get for Christmas from anyone, but I hope that perhaps there will be som small bottles there under the tree. Or now I lied a little, because I know that the eldest son made ​​a new logo for the blog. Will be interesting to see what he's made up.

I would obviously like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Hope everyone has a peaceful and relaxing day without stress and bad things happening in the traffic.

Today's manicure is one that I was wearing already last year when I was at Christmas dinner with the old man's job. It's entirely Nailtastics merit that I bought this polish and I wear it as I do. The polish is from last year's The Muppets collection that became incredibly highly publicized. It's also the first and also the only OPI polish that I actually went and bought in a Swedish store! This was before I broke my Transdesign innocence. I added a layer of Gettin 'Miss Piggy with it over NOX Twillight Black Tie which incidentally is a wonderful black creme.

As you probably already know, this is a glitter polish in a clear base consisting of red glitter in various sizes and also some silver particles, with the emphasis on some. I love this polish and I love this combination and because my thought is to be black / red upholstered today this again got to adorn my nails and it's certainly not the last time either.

Nailart Sunday - Tänd ett ljus!

Idag är det dagen före dopparedagen. Huset är nystädat och väntar på att få bli pyntat och skinkan väntar på att bli kokt och jag bara njuter av att vara ledig och känna att jag inte behöver stressa för att få något färdigt!

Lelack gav oss temat Tänd ett ljus med inspiration från låten med samma namn. En låt som jag inte är superimpad av, men självklart finns den med i min julmusiklista för den är ju liksom en modern klassiker. Julmusik är en av mina laster som resten av min familj inte direkt delar med mig.

I alla fall hade jag lite hjälp av övriga familjen för att komma fram till vad jag skulle hitta på med innehållet i låttexten och få det överfört till naglarna. Till slut kom vi/jag fram till en väldigt enkel lösning, men ändå något som jag blev nöjd och glad med.

Min tanke var att alla andra kommer troligen göra något med ljus och stjärnor så jag ville inte det. Textraden som inspirerade mig lyder så här: Det är mörkt nu, men det blir ljusare igen!

Hoppas det här är godkänt som nailart, för jag gjorde Ombre Naglar alltså från mörkt på tummen som då får symbolisera att det är mörkt nu och sen ljusare färg till det allra ljusaste på lillfingret.

Lacken jag använde är: (med början på tummen) Zoya Ibiza, China Glaze Man Hunt, Essence Snow White Grumpy, Gosh Blue Ballon och China Glaze Electric Beat.

Så mina vänner Det är mörkt nu, men det är på gång att vända och snart blir det ljusare.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and here in Sweden that is the day we celebrate Christmas. The house is cleaned and waiting to be decorated and the Christmas ham is waiting to be cooked and I just enjoy being free and feel the Christmas spirit coming to me!
 

Lelacks theme this week is to do nails inspired from a Swedish modern Christmas Song called Tänd ett ljus translated that is Light a Candle. A song that I'm not super impressive of, but of course, it's included in my Christmas music list for after all it is a modern classicer. Christmas music is one of my vices that the rest of family do not directly share with me.

In any case, I had a little help from the rest of the family to come up with what I would find in the content of the lyrics and get it transferred to my nails. Finally we / I come to a very simple solution, but one that I was satisfied and happy with.

My thought was that everyone else will probably do something with lights and stars so I didn't want to to that. The text line that inspired me is this: It's dark now, but it gets brighter again!

Hope this is approved as nail art, because I did Ombre Nails from dark on the thumb which then may symbolize that it's dark now and then lighter color to the very lightest of the little finger.

The polishes I used is: (starting with the thumb) Zoya Ibiza, China Glaze Man Hunt, Essence Snow White Grumpy, Gosh Ballon Blue and China Glaze Electric Beat.

So my friends, it's dark now, but it is going to turn around and soon it becomes brighter.

OPI The Spy who loved me

Dags för ännu ett rött lack från en julkollektion nämligen OPI:s The Spy who loved me från Skyfall från den otroligt hypade Skyfall kollektionen.

Vid första anblicken var jag otroligt ointresserad av hela kollektionen, men vissa lack fick mig till slut på fall och ett av dom var det härligt röda The Spy who loved me.

Jag ångrar absolut inte att jag köpte det här. Färgen är härligt knallröd, med guldflakes i. Formulan var mycket trevlig att jobba med. Tre lager har jag på, men det går säkert att ta två lite tjockare om man vill det istället. Torktiden imponerade och penslen var som vanligt på OPI lacken bra.

På bilderna har jag inget topplack på för precis som vanligt så hade jag ju en baktanke när jag lackade på det här lacket....

Time for another red polish from a Christmas collection namely OPI's The Spy who loved me from the incredibly hyped Skyfall collection.

At first glance, I was incredibly unimpressed by the whole collection, but after seeing swatches of some polishes I changed my mind and one of them was the beautiful red The Spy who loved me.

I have no regrets whatsoever that I bought this. The color is wonderfully bright red, with goldflakes in. The formula was very pleasant to work with. I have three layers on, but I guess it works well with two little thicker layers as well. The drying time impressed me and the brush was as usual on OPI lacquer good.

In the pictures, I have no top coat on for just as usual, I had of course an ulterior motive when I painted in this color ....
