Curali stamping plates 013 & 014

Katarina på Edgy Polish kontaktade mig och frågade om jag inte ville testa några av de nya stamping plattorna från Curali som hon fått in till butiken. Självklart ville jag det. Nya märken och nya plattor är alltid lika kul.

Det finns lite olika varianter på storlekarna och utförandet av mönstren på de här plattorna. Vissa är mönster som täcker hela plattan och där man själv får leka fram hur man vill använda de olika mönstren, plattorna med de klassiska rektangulära mönstren har lite olika storlekar beroende på vilken platta man har. Det finns plattor med 18, 15 och 12 mönster. På de med 18 olika mönster är varje motiv 17x14mm och på de med 15 mönster är storleken 17x21mm

Etsningen är mycket bra och det är lätt att plocka upp mönstret. Plattorna kostar 69 kronor styck och finns hos Edgy Polish.

Idag får ni se manikyrer från först platta 013 Winter Trendy som egentligen nog är tänkt som julmönster, men jag kunde inte låta bli dom små söta renarna så det blir en vintermanikyr en strålande höstdag som denna.

Lacken jag använt till denna manikyren är: Appeal4 Magical Sea-Lion, A-England Merlin och stämplat har jag gjort med Models Own Chrome Silver. Tyvärr glömde jag fota plattan innan jag använde den, därav den något lite dåliga bilden.

Katarina on Edgy Polish contacted me and asked if I wanted to test some of the new stamping plates from Curali that she has started to sell in the webstore. And of course I said yes. New brands and new plates are always fun.

There are some variations in the sizese and performance of the patterns on these plates. Some are patterns that cover the whole plate and where you can play on how to use the different patterns. There are also plates with the classic rectangular patterns, but they have slightly different sizes, depending on the plate you have. There are plates with 18, 15 and 12 patterns. On the plate with18 different patterns each design are 17x14mm and on the onces with 15 patterns, the size is 17x21mm

The etching is very good and it is easy to pick up the pattern. You can buy these plates from Edgy Polish and the price is 69 SEK.

Today you will see two manicures the first from plate 013 Wiinter Trendy wich is actually probably intended as Christmas pattern, but I could not resist those cute little reindeers so it became a winter manicure a brilliant autumn day like this.

The polishes that  I used for this manicure is: Appeal4 Magical Sea Lion, A-England Merlin and I have stamped with Models Own Chrome Silver. Unfortunaly I forgot to take a picture of the plate before I used it.

Och så har vi då manikyr nummer två som jag gjort med mönster från platta 014 Chevron där jag använt mig av A-England Lady Of The Lake som bas och stämplat med MoYou London Party Pink.

Nail Art Sunday & NCC - Harvest Time

Jag passar på att köra både Nail Art Sunday och The Nail Challenge Collaborative idag. Temat för bägge är skördetid. Finns ju ganska många olika saker man kan skörda så det kan bli intressant att se vad folk hittar på.

Själv har jag valt ett klassiskt tema nämligen skörda säden. Basen är Smitten Polish Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season? mönstret kommer från Mash 44 och jag har stämplat med Depend Metallic 4045 Back-beat Bronze.

Inte en manikyr som kanske sticker ut, men jag gillar den skarpt.

I take the opportunity to combine both Nail Art Sunday and The Nail Challenge Collaborative today. The theme of both is harvest time. There are quite a few different things you can harvest so it could be interesting to see how people interpreters this theme. 

I myself have chosen a classic theme namely, harvesting grain. The base is Smitten Polish Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season? pattern comes from Mash 44 and I have stamped with Depend Metallic 4045 Back-beat Bronze.

Not a manicure that with a pattern that stands out, but I like it a lot.

Reader's Choice - Smitten Polish Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season?

Blev ett lite sent inlägg idag. Har varit och införskaffat lite grejer så jag kan göra höstfint här hemma och även fikat på stan med en kompis. Jo, jag jagade lite Pokemon också när jag ändå var där.

Men nu ska ni få se ett helt underbart lack och allt är er förtjänst eftersom det var ni som röstade fram Smitten Polish (nuvarande Dreamland Lacquer) Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season? som veckans läsarnas val.

Lacket består av en orange jellybas med hur mycket microglitter som helst i. Det är förvånansvärt täckande och på mig räckte två lager. Torktiden var riktigt bra och formulan, ja den var helt perfekt.
På bilderna har jag som vanligt topplack på. Lacket torkar lite matt så topplack är absolut att föredra.

Alltså det här lacket är så nedrans vackert. En varm härligt pumpafärgad glittrande juvel, det är vad det är minsann. Om jag tycker om det? Men hur kan ni tro något sådant ;)

Till nästa vecka blir det gröna lack att rösta på.

My post became a bit late today. Has been and acquired some stuff to make my home cozy for the autumn and took a coffee break with a good friend as well. Ok, I will admit that I did chase some Pokemon too.

But now you're going to see an absolutely wonderful polish and it's thanks to you because it was you who voted for Smitten Polish (current Dreamland Lacquer) Orange You Glad It's Pun-kin Season? as this week's Readers' Choice.

The polish consists of an orange jellybase with so much micro glitter that it's almost crazy in it. It covers surprisingly well and for me two layers was enough. The drying time was really good and the formula, yes, it was absolutely perfect. As usual I have topcoat on in the pictures. It does dry a bit dull so I think topcoat is a must.

You guys, this polish is so crazy beautiful. A wonderfully warm pumpkin-colored sparkling jewel, that is what this is, indeed. If I like it? Whatever makes you believe that ;)

For the next week there will be green polishes to vote for

Depend O2 - 5043 Night Potion

Alltså jag älskar namnen på lacken i HOLO Fantasy kollektionen! Så nu har jag fått det sagt :)

Idag är det fredag och det innebär inofficiell holofredag hos Sminkan & Emma. Jag ville testa ännu ett av lacken från HOLO Fantasy och den här gången blev det 5043 Night Potion.

Night Potion är ett grafitgrått lack med en ganska svag holoeffekt, men ändå tillräckligt för att ge lacket djup. Två lager räcker även med detta lack. Verkar vara genomgående på alla i kollektionen. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är ju inte precis någon unik färg. Visst är den fin och jag trivs i den, men absolut inte någon favorit från kollektionen.

I just love the names of the polishes in the HOLO Fantasy collection! Now I said it :)

Today it's friday and that means unofficial holofriday at Sminkan & Emmas. I wanted to try out another polish from the HOLO Fantasy collection and this time it's 5048 Night Potion that I have on. 

Night Potion is a graphite grey polish with a nice but subtile holo. Still it does give the polish a lot of depth. Two coats is enough just as it has with the rest of the polishes I've tried so far from the collection. The drying time was good and on the pictures I have topcoat on. 

Well this isn't exactly a unique color but it sure is pretty and I do feel comfortable wearing it. But it's not a favorite from the collection. 

 

Depend O2 Autumn 2016 Rewind collection bottleshots

Häromdagen dök Depend O2s höstkollektion kallad Rewind ned i min postlåda.

12 lack som kommer finnas i butik vecka 37. Många fina höstfärger och en del olika finishar.

Lilypad Lacquer - Deep Blue Lagoon

Ännu en produktiv dag i mitt liv. Är nog allt lite kär i min nya fönsterputsmaskin faktiskt. Och i morgondagg! Finns det något bättre än att gå ut och fota på morgonen när luften är hög och det är massa vacker dagg på allting.

Nog om detta. Idag blir det Lilypad Lacquer Deep Blue Lagoon som ni får se här hos mig. Ett marinblått lack med fin holoeffekt. Riktigt bra att måla med är det och täcker utan problem på två lager. Torktiden var också väldigt bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Det här är väldigt vackert, det finns ett så underbart djup i lacket och jag gillar ju de här riktigt mörka blåa lacken. Helt klart ett lack som går hem hos mig.

Another productive day in my life. I think that I might have fallen a bit in love with my new window cleaning machine. And in the morning dew! Is there anything better than to go out and take photos in the morning when the air is high and there are lot of beautiful dew on everything.

Enough of this. Today I will show you Lilypad Lacquer Deep Blue Lagoon. A navy blue polish with a really nice holo. It's really good to paint with it and covers without trouble in two layers. The drying time was also very good. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

This is very beautiful, it's such a wonderful depth in the polish and I do like these really dark blue ones. Clearly a polish that hit home with me.

 

China Glaze - Drink Up Witches

Idag är det grön onsdag hos Karin och jag har plockat fram ett lack från förra årets halloween kollektion från China Glaze. En riktigt kul kollektion faktiskt med lack som var neonaktiga.

Drink Up Witches är inte ett äkta neon för det torkar inte matt, men så nära man kan komma. Och formulamässigt var det rätt likt ett neon. Lite småknivigt att lacka med. Första lagret blev rätt ojämnt, men ett tjockt andra och topplack på rättade till det hela.

Själv tycker jag det här är en helt underbar färg. En som passar mig perfekt idag. En dag som varit så himla bra hittills. Hunnit med så mycket och mår så bra.

 

Today it's green Wednesday at Karins and I have picked up a polish from last year's Halloween collection from China Glaze. A really fun collection actually with neon like polishes.

Drink Up Witches are not a genuine Neon it does not dry matte, but as close as true neon you can get. And Formula wise it was quite like a Neon. Somewhat a bit tricky to paint with. The first coat was pretty uneven but a thick second and topcoat on corrected it.

Personally, I think this is a wonderful color. One who is perfect for me today. A day that has been so good so far. I've have gotten so many things done and are feeling really well. 

Green Leaves

Idag bestämde jag mig för att göra en höstmanikyr av OPI Squeaker of the House.

Jag har ett mönster från Über Chic 5-02 och har stämplat med Hit The Bottle Stamp Un-Teal You Drop.

Resultatet blev en trevlig höstmanikyr i en kanske något oväntad färgkombo.

Today I decided that I wanted to do an autumn manicure with OPI Squeaker of the House as the base. 

I have used a pattern from Über Chic 5-02 and have stamped with Hit The Bottle Stamp Un-Teal You Drop.

I think the result became a nice autumn nail art in perhaps a bit unexpected color combination.

Då sonen som vanligt sa brunt när jag frågade efter en färg så fick det ikväll bli OPI Squeaker of the House som lackades med.

Som ni redan vet är inte brunt min favoritfärg bland nagellack. Squeaker of the House är ett chokladbrunt krämlack. Första lagret blev lite strimmigt, men andra rättade till allt. På bilderna har jag topplack på. Torktiden var bra.

Återigen överraskar ett lack från den här kollektionen mig. För faktum är att jag tycker att det här ser riktigt bra ut. En trivsam färg och absolut rätt för en höstlik dag som denna dagen varit. Nä, det lär inte hamna bland favoritlacken, men jag gillar det absolut. Vilket också betyder att jag inte har några lackspärrar kvar. Jag verkar ha slutat ha problem med både brunt, rosa, vitt och gult på naglarna!

When the son, as usual, said Brown when I asked for a color, I decided that the polish that I would apply tonight was OPI Squeaker of the House.

As you already know brown isn't my favorite color among nail polish. Squeaker of the House is a chocolate brown cream polish. The first layer was a little streaky, but the second corrected everything and more than two is not needed.  In the pictures I have topcoat on. The drying time was good.

And once again a polish from this collection surprises me. In fact I think this looks really good. A pleasant color and absolute right on a autumnal day as this day has been. No, it is not likely to end up among my favorite polishes, but I absolutely like it. Which also means that I no longer have any barriers remaining when it comes to polish colors. I seem to have stopped having problems with both brown, pink, white and yellow on my nails!

Nail Art Sunday - More neon!

Välkomna till denna veckas Nail Art Sunday. Det är fritt tema, alltså kan man vara hur fantasifull som helst.

Själv har jag valt att återigen koppla ihop Söndagens tema med The Nail Challenge Collaboratives tema som är neon.

Jag har gjort en enkel, men kul manikyr med hjälp av A-England Camelot, Sation Loudest Color och lite neonnitar.

Jag har dessutom testat en ny produkt från Born Pretty Store. En slags gele som man sätter över en tandpetare eller orangepinne som man sen använder för att plocka upp nitar med. Riktigt, riktigt bra måste jag säga. Men, plocka inte direkt från asken utan häll ut några stycken på bordet. Annars har du hela pinnen full med nitar. Att plocka en och en och placera på nageln när man hällt ut några var väldigt smidigt och dom lossnade lätt vid placering på nageln.

Welcome to this week's Nail Art Sunday. There is no theme this week so you can use your imagination any way you want to.

I myself have chosen to once again connect Nail Art Sunday with The Nail Challenge Collaboratives theme that is neon.

I made a simple, but fun manicure using A-England Camelot, Sation Loudest Color and some neon rivets.

I have also tested a new product from Born Pretty Store. A kind of gel that you put on a toothpick or orangestick that you then use to pick up the rivets with. Really, really good I must say. But, do not pick straight from the box. Pour some on the desk instead. Otherwise, you have the whole stick full of rivets. To pick one and one and put on the nail when poured out worked very smooth and they came off easily when placed on the nail.

Reader's Choice - Turtle Tootsie Polishes FD

Läsarnas val är tillbaka igen! Det blev ju både lite semester och sjukpaus. Men idag får ni ett rykande färskt inlägg. Jag har både målat och skrivit nu på morgonen för att sen kunna gå ut och njuta av solen. Bäst att passa på, man vet aldrig när det vänder och regnet kommer tillbaka.

Det lack som ni röstade fram sist är från Turtle Tootsie Polishes och heter FD. En tät kamp mellan det här och Smitten Polish Zelda's Fall-y utkämpades, men FD vann med enbart en röst faktiskt.

FD är ett något mörkare rött lack nästan lite åt rostfärgat  med en svag holoeffekt. Jag var först inte speciellt nöjd med formulan. Det blev strimmigt och faktiskt kala fläckar om man försökte rätta till något. Efter ett par naglar kom jag på att det behövdes ett ganska tjockt lager av färg för att undvika detta. Så visst i slutet gick väl applicerandet bra, men helt nöjd är jag inte.

Dock täcker det på två lager om man då tar i lite och målar med flödiga lager. Torktiden var bra och på bilderna har jag topplack på.

Det här är absolut ett fint lack, men det vann inte mitt hjärta som jag trodde det skulle göra. Helt ok, men inte mer än så i mina ögon.

Till nästa vecka blir det orange som gäller. Tre nya lack att rösta på.

Reader's Choice is back again! It did become both a little vacation and sickness break. But today, you get a very fresh post. I have both painted and written the post this morning and will now go out and enjoy the sun. Best to take the opportunity, you never know when it turns and the rain comes back.

The polish that you voted for the last time is from Tootsie Turtle Polishes and is called FD. It was a tight battle between this and Smitten Polish Zelda's Fall-y,  but FD won by only one vote in the end.

FD is a slightly darker red polish almost a bit rust-colored with a weak holoeffect. At first I was not particularly happy with the formula. It was streaky and I actually got some naked spots if it tried to correct something. After a couple of nails I realized that it needed a fairly thick layer of polish to avoid this. So yes, in the end the application went smootherl, but I'm not completely satisfied with it.

However, it covers it in two layers if you thicker layers. The drying time was good and in the pictures I have topcoat on.

This is certainly a nice polish, but it didn't win my heart as I thought it would. Quite ok, but not more than that in my eyes.

For the next week you will have orange polishes to vote for.

Depend O2 - 5038 Pegasus Girl

Sommaren dröjer sig kvar och då är det extra härligt att måla med ett av Depends nya holos och speciellt eftersom det dessutom är Sminkan & Emmas inofficiella holofredag.

Idag har jag valt 5038 Pegasus Girl som är ett hallonrosa lack med en svag holo. Precis som med de andra två från kollektionen HOLO Fantasy som jag redan visat var det här en dröm att måla med. Täcker på två lager och torkar fort. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Jag gillar den här färgen, men jag är inte lika förtjust i denna som jag var i Dungeons & Goddesses eller Forbidden Witchcraft. Men visst är den fin, ser liksom saftig ut på något sätt på naglarna.

Summer lingers and then it's extra nice to paint with one of the new holos from Depend and especially because it's also Sminkan & Emmas unofficial holofriday.

Today I have chosen 5038 Pegasus Girl that is a raspberry pink polish with a modest holo. As with the other two from the collection HOLO Fantasy that I already tried this was a dream to paint with. It covers in two coats and dries quickly. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

I like this color, but I'm not as fond of it as I was with Dungeons & Goddesses or Forbidden Witchcraft. But it sure is nice it kind of looks juicy on the nails.
