What happened to my 2015 favorites? Part 1

Så här på årets sista dagar bjuder traditionen att jag ska redogöra för vad som faktiskt hände med mina favoriter bland lacken förra året. En tradition som oftast blir ganska pinsam, men ändå känns lite intressant.

Det jag går igenom är om jag har använt favoriterna under det gångna året och om jag faktiskt har kvar dom i min samling. Som den lackgalning jag är brukar den här listan få mig att förstå att jag nog ska dra ner lite på min konsumtion och ge de redan existerande lacken lite mer kärlek.

När jag gör mina topplistor brukar de vara uppdelade i färg och finish och så är även de här inläggen. Texterna under bilderna kommer att vara på engelska så jag slipper att skriva dubbelt.

This year is soon over and a fresh one will start. This is a season for traditions and one of the traditions at Lacky Corner is to go through the of my favorites from the year before this and check if I have used them again or if I still have them in my collection. A tradition that usually gets quite embarrassing, but still feels a bit interesting.

As the polish hoarder I am this list usually makes me think that maybe I should stop buying more and instead give some love to those who already are in my collection. 

My top lists are divided into color and finishes and so will this post be. 

Gold

Purrfect Pawlish The Pale Mask and I can't remember using this again. 

Silver

Another Purrfect Pawlish this time Sparkle Of Joy and no this hasn't been used again either. 

Blue

Purrfect Pawlish Dagon Why oh why haven't I used this one again?

Brown

Purrfect Pawlish Sleepy Hollow gorgeous brown but somebody I know needed this more than me so I gave it away. 

Grey

A-England Jane Morris and no it has not been used this year. 

Green

OPI Green On The Runway this is starting to become really embarrassing becasue this beauty has not been used 2016.

Yellow

Purrfect Pawlish Yellow Lion. Would dare to take a guess... No pricemoney though. No it hasn't been used again. 

Purple

Superficially Colorful Lacquer Utral Aymokriyä. No not once this year.

Orange

China Glaze Lady and the Vamp has not been used again. 

Pink

Smitten Polish Date Night and yes finally a polish that has been used again!

Red

Delush Polish Glam Squad has been standing unused in the drawer this year. 

Teal

Glimmer by Erica Un-Teal We Meet Again is another that sadly has not been used. 

Black

Ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights is another polish that hasn't been used. 

White

Purrfect Pawlish Snow & Ice and you already know the answer. It has not been used. 

Nail Art Sunday - Toys

Emma som tillsammans med Sminkan har bloggen Sminkan & Emma föreslog att vi skulle ha leksakstema denna söndagen och jag tänkte att det är väl klart vi ska då.

Men oj vad jag fick fundera på vad jag skulle hitta på. Jag surfade runt på nätet och hittade söta nalle manikyrer och det påminde mig om min gråa fina nalle som jag hade när jag var liten och som jag fortfarande har kvar någonstans.

Jag hittade ett gammalt favoritlack med rätt färg nämligen Depend 194 och så har jag använt Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot och lite penslar och dottingtools.

Förutom att topplack smetade ut lite färg så är jag jättenöjd med den här manikyren. Och eftersom jag dessutom satte dit prickar så kvalificerar sig den även till månadens The Nail Challenge Collaborative :)

Emma who along with Sminkan runs the blog Sminkan & Emma suggested that we would have a toy theme this Sunday and I thought why not.

But I got to think hard on what to do. I surfed around the net and found some sweet teddy bear manicures and it reminded me of my lovely gray teddy bear that I had when I was little and I still have somewhere.

I found an old favorite polish of the right color from Depend with the number 194 and I've also used Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot and some brushes and dottingtools.

I'm really happy with this manicure, the only thing I don't like is that the topcoat smeared the colors a bit. And since I added the dots this also qualifies to this months Nail The Challenge Collaborative :)

Nail Art Sunday - 13/11

Ännu en dag med strålande sol och fantastiskt vackert väder. Här i Sverige firar vi Fars Dag, tyvärr är inte min pappa med oss längre, men jag tänker åka till kyrkogården och tända ett ljus.

Det är ju inte bara Fars Dag utan även Nail Art Sunday och det kommer nog inte som en överraskning att jag tänker kombinera detta med The Nail Challenge Collaborative. Temat där är prickar, men i NAS har vi temafri söndag.

Jag har gjort en enkel, men kul manikyr. Nämligen små tärningar på naglarna. Det jag använt mig av är Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot och en dottingtool.

Another day with bright sunshine and fantastic weather. Here in Sweden we celebrate Father's Day, unfortunately, my dad isn't with us anymore, but I intend to go to the cemetery and lit a candle.

It's not just Father's Day, but also Nail Art Sunday and it probably won't come as a surprise that I'm going to combine this with The Nail Challenge Collaborative. The theme there are dots, but in NAS, we have a theme free Sunday.

I made a simple, but fun manicure. Tiny dices on the nails. I have used Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot and a dottingtool.

Green Stamping!

Idag är det grön onsdag hos Karin och jag deltar med en grön nail art.

Mönstret kommer från en stämpelplatta som jag fått utskickat för recension från Nurbesten. En Born Pretty platta med nummer BP-104. Mitt intryck av plattan är att den är bra etsad och att det är lätt att få upp mönstret från den. Jag har dessutom fått tillsänt en borste som jag tänker använda som clean-up borste. Ett lite rundat huvud med ganska mjuka borst. Jag tycker storleken är perfekt och stråna följde med fint när jag rengjorde efter stämplingen. Jag gillar dessutom att det är lite tyngd i själva skaftet så den ligger fint i handen. Today we celebrate green Wednesday at Karin's and I have a green nail art for you.

The pattern comes from a stamping plate that I got sent out for review from Nurbesten. A Born Pretty plate with number BP-104. My impression of the plate is that it is well etched and it is easy to pick up the pattern from the plate. I have also gotten a brush sent to me that I intend to use as a clean-up brush. A slightly rounded head with quite a soft brush. I think the size is perfect and the straw followed the edge of the cuticle very nicely when I cleanded up after the stamping. I also like that there is little weight in the handle that makes the brush rest very nicely in the hand. Nail Art Sunday - Höst/Autumn

Söndag igen, mitt knä är inte riktigt som det ska så jag sitter här och är småsur över att jag inte kan gå ut och gå som jag vill.

Nåja, jag får göra roliga nail arts istället. Som vanligt så kombinerar jag Nail Art Sunday som denna vecka har temat höst med The Nail Challenge Collaborative som i Oktober har temat Pink Autumn alltså Rosa Höst.

Jag har A-England Camelot som bas, mönstret kommer återigen från ÜberChics Lovely Leaves platta och jag har stämplat med Hit The Bottle Psycho Pink.

Det här blev en perfekt rosa höst manikyr tycker jag. Jag gillar det här skarpt.

Sunday again, my knee is not quite as it should so I sit here at home are a bit upset about not being able to talk a walk as I want to.

Oh well, I can always make fun nail arts instead. As usual, I combine Nail Art Sunday that this week has the theme autumn with The Nail Challenge Collaborative that in October has the theme Pink Autumn.

I have A-England Camelot as a base, the pattern is again from ÜberChics Lovely Leaves plate and I've stamped with Hit The Bottle Psycho Pink.

This is a perfect autumn pink manicure I think. I like this a lot.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Harvest Time #3 & Nail Art Sunday

Japp, jag gör som jag vanligen gör. Nämligen kombinerar Nail Art Sunday och NCC. Temat i NCC är Skördetid September ut och det här blir min tredje manikyr på temat.

Idag blev det en manikyr som hyllar något av det bästa man kan skörda. Nämligen honung. Jag älskar honung. Bästa medicinen när man är sjuk och bästa sättet att fixa till en gryta eller sås som inte blev som den skulle. Helt klart bra till nästan allt.

Lacken jag använt är A-England Camelot, OPI My Twin Mimmy och Depends svarta stampinglack.

Till ränderna har jag använt nailvinyls och mönstret kommer från MoYou London Pro Collection 06.

Lekfull och glad är väl en bra beskrivning av den här manikyren enligt mig.

Yep, I do what I usually do. Namely combine Nail Art Sunday and NCC. The theme in NCC is Harvest time throuhg out September and this will be my third manicure on that theme.

Today I have a manicure that celebrates one of the best things you can harvest. Namely honey. I love honey. Best medicine when you are sick and best way to fix a stew or sauce that doesn't taste the way you want it to. Clearly good for almost everything.

The polishes I used is A-England Camelot, OPI My Twin Mimmy and Depends black stamping polish.

For the stripes I have used nailvinyls and the pattern comes from MoYou London Pro Collection 06.

I think playful and happy is a good description of this manicure.

Nail Art Sunday - Black & White

Mina favorit inlägg varje vecka är läsarnas val och Nail Art Sunday så för min del är inte helgerna bara sköna för att man är ledig utan även för att jag gillar att göra de här inläggen.

Denna veckan har vi svart/vitt tema vilket också känns riktigt kul, för även om det är kul med färg så älskar jag svart/vita manikyrer.

Själv har jag gjort en lite busig manikyr med hjälp av Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot, mönster från ÜberChic Halloween 02 som är stämplade med Milani Black Swift.

Jag hade först tänk att bara swatcha den här manikyren, men blev så nöjd att den åkte på även på högerhanden.

My favorite posts every week is the readers' choice and Nail Art Sunday so for my part the weekends aren't just awesome because most of us are free from work but also because I like to do these posts.

This week we have black / white theme, which also feels great, because even though it's fun to paint with happy colors I also love black / white manicures.

I myself have done a little mischievous manicure using Zoya Purity, A-England Camelot, patterns from Uber Chic Halloween 02 that are stamped with Milani Black Swift.

My intention was actually to just swatch this manicure, but was so pleased that it went on even on the right hand.

Curali stamping plates 013 & 014

Katarina på Edgy Polish kontaktade mig och frågade om jag inte ville testa några av de nya stamping plattorna från Curali som hon fått in till butiken. Självklart ville jag det. Nya märken och nya plattor är alltid lika kul.

Det finns lite olika varianter på storlekarna och utförandet av mönstren på de här plattorna. Vissa är mönster som täcker hela plattan och där man själv får leka fram hur man vill använda de olika mönstren, plattorna med de klassiska rektangulära mönstren har lite olika storlekar beroende på vilken platta man har. Det finns plattor med 18, 15 och 12 mönster. På de med 18 olika mönster är varje motiv 17x14mm och på de med 15 mönster är storleken 17x21mm

Etsningen är mycket bra och det är lätt att plocka upp mönstret. Plattorna kostar 69 kronor styck och finns hos Edgy Polish.

Idag får ni se manikyrer från först platta 013 Winter Trendy som egentligen nog är tänkt som julmönster, men jag kunde inte låta bli dom små söta renarna så det blir en vintermanikyr en strålande höstdag som denna.

Lacken jag använt till denna manikyren är: Appeal4 Magical Sea-Lion, A-England Merlin och stämplat har jag gjort med Models Own Chrome Silver. Tyvärr glömde jag fota plattan innan jag använde den, därav den något lite dåliga bilden.

Katarina on Edgy Polish contacted me and asked if I wanted to test some of the new stamping plates from Curali that she has started to sell in the webstore. And of course I said yes. New brands and new plates are always fun.

There are some variations in the sizese and performance of the patterns on these plates. Some are patterns that cover the whole plate and where you can play on how to use the different patterns. There are also plates with the classic rectangular patterns, but they have slightly different sizes, depending on the plate you have. There are plates with 18, 15 and 12 patterns. On the plate with18 different patterns each design are 17x14mm and on the onces with 15 patterns, the size is 17x21mm

The etching is very good and it is easy to pick up the pattern. You can buy these plates from Edgy Polish and the price is 69 SEK.

Today you will see two manicures the first from plate 013 Wiinter Trendy wich is actually probably intended as Christmas pattern, but I could not resist those cute little reindeers so it became a winter manicure a brilliant autumn day like this.

The polishes that  I used for this manicure is: Appeal4 Magical Sea Lion, A-England Merlin and I have stamped with Models Own Chrome Silver. Unfortunaly I forgot to take a picture of the plate before I used it.

Och så har vi då manikyr nummer två som jag gjort med mönster från platta 014 Chevron där jag använt mig av A-England Lady Of The Lake som bas och stämplat med MoYou London Party Pink.

Nail Art Sunday - More neon!

Välkomna till denna veckas Nail Art Sunday. Det är fritt tema, alltså kan man vara hur fantasifull som helst.

Själv har jag valt att återigen koppla ihop Söndagens tema med The Nail Challenge Collaboratives tema som är neon.

Jag har gjort en enkel, men kul manikyr med hjälp av A-England Camelot, Sation Loudest Color och lite neonnitar.

Jag har dessutom testat en ny produkt från Born Pretty Store. En slags gele som man sätter över en tandpetare eller orangepinne som man sen använder för att plocka upp nitar med. Riktigt, riktigt bra måste jag säga. Men, plocka inte direkt från asken utan häll ut några stycken på bordet. Annars har du hela pinnen full med nitar. Att plocka en och en och placera på nageln när man hällt ut några var väldigt smidigt och dom lossnade lätt vid placering på nageln.

Welcome to this week's Nail Art Sunday. There is no theme this week so you can use your imagination any way you want to.

I myself have chosen to once again connect Nail Art Sunday with The Nail Challenge Collaboratives theme that is neon.

I made a simple, but fun manicure using A-England Camelot, Sation Loudest Color and some neon rivets.

I have also tested a new product from Born Pretty Store. A kind of gel that you put on a toothpick or orangestick that you then use to pick up the rivets with. Really, really good I must say. But, do not pick straight from the box. Pour some on the desk instead. Otherwise, you have the whole stick full of rivets. To pick one and one and put on the nail when poured out worked very smooth and they came off easily when placed on the nail.

Reader's Choice - A-England Spirit Of The Moors

Jag är supertrött, det där med att sluta på jobbet tog på krafterna plus att jag varit iväg större delen av dagen. I och för sig på trevligheter, men ändå jag är så grymt trött att jag inte trodde jag skulle orka fixa ett inlägg idag, men det gjorde jag till slut ändå.

För läsarnas val är ju det inlägg som jag själv tycker är roligast i veckan. Så det gav mig lite energi att plocka bort mitt vackra röda lack och byta det mot ett lika vackert blått i stället. 

Vinnaren från förra veckan är A-England Spirit Of The Moors. Ett ganska knallblått lack med subtil holoeffekt i. 

Det här är faktiskt det allra första lacket från A-England som jag upplever har lite holosjuka. Alltså att färgen gärna vill dras med av penseln om man inte är försiktig när man målar. Problemet är lätt avhjälpt genom att ta något tjockare lager redan från början, men jag blev ändå lite förvånad. 

I slutänden räckte i alla fall två lager och på bilderna har jag topplack på. 

Som jag skrev så är det här en fantastisk blå färg. Återigen en sån där färg som jag gärna sträcker mig efter när jag blir osäker på vad jag egentligen är sugen på att bära. 

Till nästa veckan blir det lila lack att välja bland. 

I'm super tired, quitting on the job took more energy than I could ever imagine plus I been away most of the day. Doing nice things, but I'm so cruelly tired that I didn't think I would be able to fix a post today, but I did eventually anyway.

Because readers' choice is the post I think is the most fun to do in the whole week. So it gave me some energy to remove my beautiful red polish and replace it with an equally beautiful blue instead.

The winner of last week's reader's choice is A-England Spirit Of The Moors. A fairly bright blue polish with a subtle holo.

This is actually the very first polish from A-England I experienced had a little holo sickness. You know when the polish is dragged with the brush and leaves bald spots if you are not careful while painting. The problem is easily remedied by taking slightly thicker layers from the start, but I was still a little surprised.

In the end two layers was enough and in the images I have topcoat on.

As I wrote, this is a stunning blue color. Again, one of those colors that I like to reach for when I'm not sure what I really fancy to wear.

For the next week there will be purple polishes to choose from.

Reader's Choice - A-England Gloriana

Lördag igen och utflykt till stan för att köpa resväskor.

Har precis lackat om till veckans läsarnas val lack. Ni valde A-England Gloriana av de tre röda som fanns att välja på. Och vilket vackert lack det här är!

Gloriana är ett rött foil lack med guldflakes i. Fast inte knallrött utan mer åt koppar hållet troligen på grund av alla guld flakesen. Det var fantastiskt att måla med och täcker på två lager. Torktiden är bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Alltså finishen i det här lacket är bara så fin. Och färgen är också riktigt snygg. Vad mer kan man säga? Som ni förstår så gillar jag lacket skarpt.

Till nästa vecka blir det gröna lack att rösta på.

Saturday again and I think we will take a trip to the town to buy suitcases.

I have just repainted my nails with this week's Readers' Choice polish. You chose A-England Gloriana from the three red last week. And what a beautiful polish this is!

Gloriana is a red foil with golden flakies in. Though not bright red but more copper probably because all the gold flakes. It was great to paint with and covers in two layers. The drying time is good. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

The finish of this polish makes it so incredible nice. And of course the color is also awesome. What more can you say? As you probably have guessed I like this polish a lot.

For the next week there will be green polishes to vote for.
