Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Colors By Llarowe Mojito

Idag har jag fuskat lite. Jo, för att det var faktiskt så att två av lacken från förra veckan fick lika många röster och då bestämde jag som enväldig domare att jag tar det lacket som är från ett för mig nytt märke.

Alltså blir det Colors By Llarowe Mojito som jag visar för er idag. Ett mellangrönt lack med holo i.

Det var en trevlig första bekantskap även om jag är lite anti mot masskollektionerna som släpps hela tiden från märket. Mojito var i alla fall smidigt att måla med även om penseln var lite spretig. Det täckte utan några som helst problem på två lager och torkade fort. Jag har ett lager med topplack också på bilderna.

Det här är absolut en fin färg, men inget som jag skrek höga hurra rop över direkt. Snyggt och fin holoeffekt men that's it.

Till nästa vecka har ni tre lack från ett och samma märke att rösta på.

I have cheated a bit today. You know when last weeks poll ended there where two polishes with the same number of votes so as the one and only judge in this I decided to show you the polish from the brand that was new to me of the two. 

So that is why you get to see Colors By Llarowe Mojito today. A mid-green polish with a little holographic effect in it.

It was a nice first acquaintance although I'm a bit anti against the mass collections that are released continuously from the brand. Mojito was certainly easy to paint with, even if the brush was a bit straggly. It covered without any problems in two layers and dried quickly. I have a layer of topcoat on in the pictures.

This is absolutely a nice color, but nothing that I gave any standing ovations for. Neat and nice  with a subtle holoeffect but that's it.

OPI - Cement The Deal

Jag har inte läst böckerna Fifty Shades Of Grey, jag kommer troligen inte att se filmen heller, men det hindrar mig inte att köpa några lack från OPI:s kollektion med samma namn. För gråa lack det gillar jag ju.

Cement The Deal är precis vad det låter som ett cementfärgat grått krämlack. En snäll grå nyans som jag gillar. Varken mer eller mindre.

Lacket var smidigt att måla med och täckte på två lager. Jag har ett lager med topplack på också. Topplacket hade tyvärr blivit lite tjockt och segt vilket syns lite på bilderna.

Tja, det finns egentligen inte så mycket att säga om det här lacket, mer än att det är trevligt.

 

I have not read the books Fifty Shades of Grey, I will probably not see the movie either, but that does not stop me to buy some polish from OPI's collection with the same name. Because I relly like gray polishes.

Cement The Deal is exactly what it sounds like a cement colored gray creme polish. A nice shade of gray that I like. Neither more nor less.

The polish was easy to paint with and covered in two layers. I have a layer of top coat on too. The Topcoat had gone a bit thick and that shows on the pictures.

Well, there's really not much to say about this polish, more than that, it's nice.

ABC Challenge - H = Honky Badonky from Bootie Babe

Då har det blivit dags för bokstaven H och den får representeras av en liten rumpa. Det vill säga ett lack från Bootie Babe som heter Honky Badonky.

Jag har konstaterat att lack som står i kartong av någon anledning oftast blir stående längre i lådan än andra, kan det vara för att man inte ser hur det ser ut och inte orkar plocka upp det kanske?

Det här absolut ett sånt lack som stått ett bra tag och när jag väl plockade fram det häromkvällen för att använda till just den här utmaningen så var jag först inte så imponerad.

Dels för att det krävdes fyra lager för att få det att täcka. Det var dessutom lite knepigt att få jämt på nageln och när jag tittade på det först så såg jag inte så mycket mer än något brunaktigt.

Nu var ju det där helt fel för när jag haft det en dag så inser jag att det här är riktigt fint. Honky Badonky skiftar mellan brun, guld och lila. Skiftningarna är ganska tydliga måste jag säga och lacket är som sagt riktigt vackert.

På bilderna är det fyra lager med topplack på.

It's time for the letter H and this will be represented by a tiny butt. That is a polish from Bootie Babe named Honky Badonky.

I have found that polishes standing in cardboard for some reason usually remain standing longer in my drawer than others. I don't know way but maybe it's because I don't what the polish actually looks like and are to lazy to pick up to check.

This definitely is one of those polishes that has stood for quite a while and once I picked up the other night to use for this particular challenge, I was at first not so impressed.

Partly because it required four layers to cover. Furthermore, it was a little tricky to get evenly on the nail and when I looked at it first I did not see so much more than a brownish polish.

Well I was wrong because when I had it one for a day, I realize that this is really nice. Honky Badonky shifts between brown, gold and purple. The shiftings are quite clear I must say and the polish is honestly really beautiful.

In the pictures, there are four layers of Honky Badonky and a layer of top coat.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Animals - Flamingos

Då var det dags för sista posten i månadens tema djur. För ett tag sedan fick jag hem en ny MoYou London platta med olika fågelbilder på och bland dom fanns det en med massa Flamingos.

Vad kunde då bli bättre än att testa den bilden tillsammans med ett av mina nya Mentality Opaque lack.

Jag grundade med Rainbow Honey Nyx och har sedan stämplat Flamingos från MoYou London Tropical 06 med hjälp av Mentality Pink Opaque.

Som ni ser så täcker Pink Opaque väldigt bra och ger en snygg lite skimrande effekt. Jag gillar hur den här manikyren blev och tycker att det är en rätt kul en faktiskt.

It's time for the last entry in this month's animal theme.

A while ago I got myself a new  MoYou London plate with different pictures of birds and among them there were one with a lot of Flamingos.

So what could be better than to try that image out with one of my new Mentality Opaque polishes.

I have the black Rainbow Honey Nyx as the base and the Flamingos from MoYou London Tropical 06 plate using Mentality Pink Opaque.

As you can see Pink Opaque covers very well and gives a neat little shimmering effect. I like how this manicure turned out and think it's a pretty fun one indeed.

ABC Challenge - G = Gosh Girls On Film

Då var det dags för bokstaven G och jag lyckades faktiskt i dubbel bemärkelse för både lacket och lacknamnet börjar på G. Bra va!

När jag var i tonåren lyssnade jag mycket på Duran Duran och mitt frikort då var absolut John Taylor så därför blev jag lite fnissigt lycklig när jag fick det här lacket som kommer från Gosh och heter Girls On Film precis som Duran Duran låten.

Det här lacket är ännu ett glitterlack som hamnat längst in i lådan. Vet inte varför det alltid blir så med mina glitterlack. Jag vill ha dom, men drar mig för att använda dom sen. Det består av en klar bas och glitter i en roséguldsfärg i olika storlekar. Och lite prismatiskt glitter också.

Som vanligt kunde jag ju inte låta bli att lägga det här över svart, så min trotjänare Rainbow Honey Nyx fick åka fram igen. Och det här är glittrigt vill jag lova. Jag stannade på ett lager för det gnistrade som värsta discokulan av bara ett lager.

Torktiden var helt ok och jag har ett lager med topplack på. Det här är glittrigt och kul, men kanske inte något som jag går runt med hela tiden, men gillar det, det gör jag.

 

So we have come to the letter G in our ABC Challenge and I actually managed in a double sense for both the brand and the polish name starts with a G. Nice!

When I was a teenager I listened a lot to Duran Duran and my free card at that age was absolutely John Taylor so therefore I became really happy when I got this polish and discovered the name of it. It's a polish from Gosh and it's called Girls on Film as the Duran Duran song.

This polish is another glitter polish that ended up being standing in the box for too long. I really don't know why it always gets that way with my glitter polishes. I want them, but once I get them they end up in the drawer. This polish consists of a clear base and glitter in a rose gold color in different sizes. And a little prismatic glitter too.

As usual, I could resist putting it over a black polish so my favorite Rainbow Honey Nyx was painted on as the base. And this is glittery, I promise. I stopped with only one layer because it sparkled like a disco ball with only that.

The drying time was quite ok and I have a layer of top coat on. This is glittery and fun, but perhaps not something that I walk around with all the time, but I do like it.
