Purrfect Pawlish - Sparkle Of Joy

Längtar ni till jul? Jag gör faktiskt det eller kanske ännu mer till 1:a Advent som är min favoritdag på året. Älskar att få sätta fram fina ljusstakar och stjärnor i fönstren och allt blir så mysigt.

För att ni ska få en liten försmak på julen tänker jag idag visa det första av fyra lack från Purrfect Pawlishs julkollektion Holiday 2015.

Det blev Sparkle Of Joy som fick äran att visas först. Maria beskriver det som ett holografiskt lack i silver, men jag tycker det är mer spännande än den beskrivningen.

Jag gillar att silverfärgen är ganska gråtonad och jag gillar verkligen att det nästan är mer prismatiskt i lacket än holo.

Det här täckte nog egentligen på två lager, men jag blev tveksam och la på ett tredje för säkerhets skull. Torktiden var bra och och på bilderna ser ni det med topplack på.

Jag blev riktigt förtjust i det här lacket, det kanske inte är det mest unika där ute på marknaden, men jag tycker att det är ett mycket snyggt silverlack som jag absolut kan tänka mig att ha under jul eller nyårsfirandet.

Are you longing for Christmas? I actually do that or maybe even more to the 1st Advent Sunday that is my favorite day of the year. I love the cozy feeling you get with all the Christmas lights that you put up. 

For you to get a small taste of Christmas, I intend today to show the first of four polishes from Purrfect Pawlishs Christmas collection Holiday 2015.

It became Sparkle Of Joy who had the honor to appear first. Maria describes it as a holographic polish in silver, but I think it's more exciting than the description.

I like that the silver color is leaning quite a lot towards grey and I really like that it's almost more prismatic in the polish than holo.

This could probably cover in two layers, but I was hesitant and added a third just in case. The drying time was good and in the images you see it with topcoat on.

I'm really exited about this polish it may not be the most unique out there on the market, but I think it is a very neat silver polish that I absolutely can think of wearing for Christmas or New Year celebrations.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Monochrome #2

Idag bjuder jag på en riktig höstmanikyr som passar in alldeles utmärkt i vårt monochroma tema denna månaden.

Basen är lacket jag visade igår Superficially Colorful Lacquer Sweet Treat som jag stämplat med mönster från BPL 024. Färgen är Kaleidoscope 11 Orange.

Jag är så himla nöjd med den här manikyren. Älskar hur det nästan ser ut som löven faller på naglarna.

Today, I offer a real autumn manicure that fits perfectly in our monochrome theme for this month.

The base is the polish I showed yesterday Superficially Colorful Lacquer Sweet Treat that I have stamped with designs from BPL 024. The stamping color is Kaleidoscope 11 Orange.

I'm so happy with this manicure. Love how it almost looks like leaves are falling on the nails.

Superficially Colorful Lacquer - Sweet Treat

Det blev visst ett orange lack idag igen. Men den här gången ett som funkar med min hudton och som släpptes i en Halloween kollektion i år.

Superficially Colorful Lacquer Sweet Treat är ett lite mörkare orange lack med en superfin holoeffekt. Skulle nog säga att det här har en ganska perfekt pumpafärg. Något annat som också är perfekt med det är formulan. Smidigt att jobba med och täcker på två lager. Torktiden är också bra.

På bilderna har jag alltså två lager och topplack på.

Jag tyckte väl i och för sig om Zoya Arizona som jag visade igår, men det här, det bara älskar jag! Underbart fin färg, fina regnbågar och bra formula. Ja, så mycket bättre än så blir det väl inte.

Ok I have another orange polish for you today. But this time one that works with my skin tone and that was released in a Halloween collection this year.

Superficially Colorful Lacquer Sweet Treat is a bit darker orange polish with a really nice holo. I would even say that this is a pretty perfect pumpkin color. Something else that is also ideal with this is it's formula. Easy to work with and covers in two layers. The drying time is also good.

In the pictures I have, therefore two coats and top coat on.

I did like Zoya Arizona that I showed yesterday, but this, this is pure love! Wonderfully nice color, nice rainbows and good formula. Could it get much better? No, not if you ask me.

Vilket ruskväder det blev! Blåser och regnar som bara den. Perfekt väder att måla naglarna i :)

Maken sa att jag skulle ha orange på naglarna och jag hade lite planer på nailart så det fick bli Zoya Arizona som är ett krämlack. Ett lite mer bränt orange lack som kom ut i en sommarkollektion 2012. Jag tycker i alla fall att det här funkar rätt bra som ett höstlack också.

Jag brukar älska formulan på Zoyas lack, men det här var lite knepigare än vad dom brukar vara. Lite strimmigt blev det allt på första lagret och tre lager med topplack på för att jag skulle tycka att det var slätt och fint.

Torktiden var det i alla fall inget fel på alls.

Det är absolut inget fel på den här färgen, den är riktigt fin, men jag kanske inte tycker att den är världsbäst mot min hudton. Fast det struntar jag i och bär det glatt ändå.

 

What a bad weather we have! The wind is blowing and it's raining like crazy. Perfect weather to paint the nails in :)

My husband said that I should have orange nails and I had some plans for nail art so I chose Zoya Arizona which is a cream polish. A little more burnt orange polish which came out in a summer collection 2012. I think in any case that this works quite well as an autumn color as well.

I usually love the formula on Zoya polishes, but this was a little trickier than what they usually are. Little streaky and runny so the first layer wasn't that beautiful. It took three layers and topcoat to make me satisfied and the polish to look smooth and fine.

The drying time was nothing wrong with at all.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this color, it's really nice, but maybe I don't think that it's the world best against my skin tone. Though I don't really care and wear it happily anyway.

Review of The Art Of Nail Care: A Guide To Healthy Looking Nails

Idag blir det ett annorlunda inlägg från mig. Jag tänkte nämligen ge er en recension av en bok som en bloggarkollega har skrivit om vikten av att ta hand om sina naglar och händer för att få friska naglar.

Ina på My Nail Polish Online har gett ut The Art Of Nail Care A guide to healthy looking nails som finns att köpa här.

Det här är ett ämne som jag tror att vi som bloggar har rätt bra koll på, men ändå behöver påminnas om då och då. Och även få tips på bra produkter.

Det jag gillar väldigt mycket med den här boken är att det är sakligt och enkelt skrivet, Den är uppbyggd i olika kapitel och börjar med att förklara nagelns anatomi, något som jag inte har så bra koll på faktiskt.

Sen får man bra information om vilka verktyg man behöver för att hålla naglarna i trim. Vad skillnaden är på olika nagelfilar osv. En annan viktigt sak som tas upp är att hålla sina verktyg rena och fräscha.

Det finns också information om 3,4 och 5 free nagellack och vilka olika removers och vad skillnaden på dom är.

Man får bra tips på att få bort missfärgningar från naglarna, hur man kan laga en bruten nagel. Och hur man kan få hjälp med att sluta bita på naglarna.

Men det bästa med de här boken tycker jag ändå är att det finns massor av tips på hur man gör många av de saker man behöver för att hålla naglarna fina själv med enkla medel.

Allt som allt så tycker jag att det här är en välskriven bok, enkel att förstå instruktionerna oftast med stegvisa instruktioner, mycket användbara tips och fina bilder. Dock finns den enbart på engelska.

Today you will get a bit different post from me. I thought I should give you a review of a book by a blog colleague about the importance of taking care of your nails and hands to get healthy nails.

Ina at  My Nail Polish Online has released The Art Of Nail Care A guide to healthy looking nails that is available to buy here.

This is a topic that I think that most of us bloggers knows pretty much about, but still need to be reminded now and then. And even get tips on good products.

What I like very much about this book is that it is factually and simply written, It is structured into different chapters and begins with explaining the nail anatomy, something I don't have that good knowledge about actually.

Then you get good information about the tools you need to keep your nails in shape. What difference the variety of nail files has etc. Another important thing that is addressed is to keep your tools clean and fresh.

There is also information about the 3.4 and 5 free nail polish and the various removers and what difference they are.

You get good tips on removing stains from your nails, how to fix a broken fingernail. And how to get help to stop biting your nails.

But the best of this book, I feel is that there are plenty of tips on how to do many of the things you need to keep your nails nice at home with things you ususally have at home.

All in all, I think this is a well written book, easy to understand instructions usually with step by step instructions, very useful tips and great photos.
