Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Ludurana Aurora Boreal Show

Att säga att man kanske inte är helt överförtjust i ett så galet vackert lack som Ludurana Aurora Boreal Show är verkar nästan galet.

Faktum är att jag trodde det här skulle vinna överlägset i förra veckans omröstning, men det skilde inte så värst mycket till Zoya Mason.

Vad är det som jag inte gillar med det här? Första försöket till att måla slutade med att jag tog av det och la det över svart. Fint, jajamen, men helt omöjligt att fånga skiftningarna som jag ville på foto och dessutom så syntes inte alla färger lika tydligt. Så det här är tredje gången gillt.

Ja, det är helt galet mycket skiftningar i det. Jag kan ju inte på något sätt säga att det inte är vackert, men formulan. Tunn och rinnig och dessutom bubblar det sig. Man måste vara väldigt petig med att få första lagret jämt annars är det kört. På bilderna har jag fyra lager och det behövdes tyckte jag. Här hade det inte hunnit bubbla sig heller det kom efter en stund.

Det är lite som med Essie Trophy Wife när Show kom så fanns det inte så otroligt mycket multichroma lack som det gör nu. För att ta exemple så har ju både Dance Legend och ILNP väldigt likande lack som det här som jag dessutom misstänker är bättre formula på.

To say that you're not totally crazy about such a beautiful polish as Ludurana Aurora Boreal Show might almost sound crazy.

In fact, I thought this would win by far in last week's vote, but it did not differ all that much to Zoya Mason.

What is it that I don't like about this? Well, the first attempt at painting with it ended with me taking it off and redo it over black. Nicely, Oh yes, but totally impossible to capture the shifts that I wanted on photo and moreover all the colors that actually are in this polish wasn't that clear over black. So this is my third version.

Yes, there are crazy colorshifings in it. I can't in any way say that it isn't beautiful, but the formula. Thin and runny and moreover it bubbles up. One must be very carefull when painting the first layer. Make sure that it's very even otherwise the rest wont look even either. In the pictures I have four layers and it was needed, I thought. It had not had time to bubble up when I took the pictures but it did shortly after. 

It's a bit like with Essie Trophy Wife. When Show came there was not so much multichrome polish out in the market as it is now.  For exemple there is both Dance Legend and ILNP that have very similar polishes to this that I additionally believe is better formula on.

Holofredag - Lilypad Lacquer True Blood

Joho ni det här det är vackra grejer minsann!

För dagens holofredag ber jag att få presentera Lilypad Lacquer True Blood. Ännu ett lack som fått stå och mogna lite i min låda till solen tittade fram.

True Blood är inte alls blodsfärgat, men helt ljuvligt rödlila istället. Och regnbågarna. Ja, dom är också helt ljuvliga. Låter det som att jag druckit av lacket nu kanske. Nej, jag lovar jag har inte det, men det här är ju bara så fint.

Nu till det som jag inte tyckte riktigt om med det. Jag tyckte faktiskt det var lite rinnig formula på det. Visst det täcker på två lager och det är ju bra i alla fall. Dessutom gillade inte jag penseln. Den var för mjuk för mitt tycke. Men ok, jag förlåter dom här egenskaperna för att det i övrigt är så bra.

Ni får en skuggbild på köpet också idag. För trots allt så har man ju klorna i skuggan ibland också.

Please allow me to introduce Lilypad Lacquer True Blood for this weeks holofriday. Another polish that I have let standing in my drawer to mature a little bit and also waiting for the sun to come out.  

True Blood is not blood colored, but quite lovely reddish purple instead. And rainbows. Yes, they are also quite lovely. Does it sound like I'm drunk of polish now maybe. No, I promise I have not been drinking it, but this is just so nice. 

Now over to the things I don't like about it. I actually thought it was a bit runny formula on it. Sure it covers in two coats and that is good. The other thing is that I didn't like the brush. It was too soft for my liking. But ok, I forgive the polish for these flaws because of the result on the nails. 

GOT Polish Challenge - Pastel and Born Pretty Store Rhinestones!

Då var det dags för veckans GOT Polish Challenge som idag har temat Pastell och jag passar på och kombinerar det här med en recension av Nailart Stenar från Born Pretty Store.

Pastell, ja det har jag ju en del lack i samlingen, men jag kände att jag ville plocka fram ett som jag inte hade riktigt självmant plockat upp ur lådan så därför föll valet på OPI Panda-Monium Pink. Ett ljusrosa pastelligt lack med lite drag åt lila. Och kan ni tänka er jag tyckte faktiskt inte det var så farligt som jag hade för mig att jag tyckte. Nej, inte mitt första val, men ändå en ganska trevlig färg faktiskt.

Lacket i sig var inte speciellt trevligt i alla fall inte innan jag tunnade ut det lite grann. Det hade stått och tjocknat till riktigt ordentligt. Två lager har jag av lacket och så Digital Flash på det.

Nu var det ju fortfarande så att jag inte riktigt känner mig hemma i färgen så då tänkte jag att jag passar på att piffa upp det lite med stenar som jag fått tillskickat för att recensera. Du hittar dom här hos BPS. Det verkar vara lite olika färger på stenarna i hjulen som skickas ut. Jag har fått ett med mycket pastelliga färger viket ju gjorde att jag tänkte att det skulle sitta bra på det här lacket.

Just dom här är 1mm i diameter och på en nagel blir det faktiskt ganska mycket. Jag använde mig av en ljust lila och en vit sten på varje finger. Jag har satt dom direkt i överlacket som jag inte lät torka utan tryckte dit stenen på en gång i.

Precis som med lacket är inte det här riktigt min grej. Man kan göra hur mycket fint som helst med dom här stenarna och med andra rhinestones, men problemet för min del är att jag inte gillar att dom sticker upp så mycket från nageln.

Vad säger ni om manikyren. Flip eller Flop?

So it's time for this week's GOT Polish Challenge and today 's theme is pastel and I actually combines this with a review of Rhinestones from Born Pretty Store.

Pastel, well I have some pastels in my collection, but I felt I wanted to pick up one that I had not really voluntarily picked up out of the drawer so therefore the choice was OPI Panda - monium Pink. A light pink pastel polish that pulls towards purple. And can you imagine I actually thought it was ok. Not at all as bad as I thought I was going to think about it. No, not my first choice, but still a pretty nice color indeed.

The polish itself was not very nice at least not before I thinned it out a bit. It had gone really thick. But with the help of Seche Restore it was managable again. I have two coats and a layer of Digital Flash as well. 

Well the case was still that I don't feel really at home in this polish so then I thought it would be smart to give it a little touch up with the help of some rhinestones that I was sent to reveiw. You can find them here at BPS. There seems to be some different in the colors of the wheel that I got and the one on BPS page The one I have has all pastel colors and it's about 500 pcs in this. And the thing that it is pastel is the reason why I figured it would work great with this polish. 

These Rhinestones are 1mm in diameter and at a nail that actually becomes quite a lot. I used a light purple and a white stone on each finger. I've put them straight in the still wet topcoat.

Just like with the polish this is not really my thing. You can make a lot of fun and beautiful manicures with this kind of Rhinestones, but the problem for me is that I do not like that they stick up so much from the nail.

Grön Onsdag - Nubar Sour Apple

Idag är det Grön Onsdag hos Karin och jag lyckades för en gång skull pricka in denna.

För mig känns det som att Nubar är ett märke som får lite för lite kärlek av oss svenska bloggare, så även av mig. Idag tänker jag i alla fall råda lite bot på det genom att visa ett helt underbart lack som kom ut förra våren.

Jag älskar den här typen av gröna lack. Lite Shrek grönt eller surt äpple grönt om man får följa namnet på det. För just så heter det Sour Apple.

Formulan var lite småknepig måste jag nog säga, det var ganska strimmigt på dom två första lagren. Topplack hjälpte absolut till att jämna till det hela.

För mig är det här en bli glad färg. Jag känner att man ler lite grann när man tittar ner på naglarna och det är ju alltid bra.

Today is Green Wednesday at Vacker & Underbar and I managed for once to pinpoint this. 

To me it feels like Nubar is a brand that gets a too little love from us Swedish bloggers, so even by me. Today I shall do something about it by showing an absolutely beautiful polish that came out last spring. 

I love this kind of green polishes. Kind of Shrek colored or sour apple green if you follow the name of it. For  that is what it's called: Sour Apple. 

The formula was a little tricky I must say, it was quite streaky on the first two layers. The third and some topcoat definitely helped to smooth it all out. 

For me, this is an be happy color. I feel a smile on my lips everytime I look down at the nails and that's always good.

Powder Perfect - Black And Blue

Det här är det första Powder Perfect lacket som jag testar. Och jag är imponerad!

Visst det är en helt ok färg, men det jag är mest imponerad över är att det här ett glitterlack eller crelly är det nog egentligen som täcker perfekt på två lager. Inte ofta man stöter på det minsann.

Det här lacket heter Black and Blue, det där med blått är jag inte helt säker på. Black, japp det är helt klart en svart bas, men jag ser mycket lila i det och jo det finns absolut blått också i form av härligt microglitter.

Absolut ett snyggt lack som är av den sorten som jag gillar att bära.

Jag har ett lager av överlack i form av Digital Flash på, men det hade absolut behövts ett till. Eller kanske man skulle lagt lite Glitter Food över, för det åt upp överlacket lite grann.

Powder Perfect hittar man hos Edgy Polish och det finns massor av snygga färger!

This is the first Powder Perfect polish that I have tried. And I'm impressed!

Sure it's an ok color, but what I am most impressed about is that this is a glitter polish or maybe I should call it a crelly that covers perfectly in two layers. Not often you come across that!

This polish is called Black and Blue. I'm not sure about the blue. Black, yep, it's clearly a black base, but I see a lot of purple in it and yes there is absolutely blue also in the form of fine micro glitter.

Definitely a neat polish that is of the kind that I enjoy wearing.

I have one layer of top coat in the form of Digital Flash, but it had absolutely needed one more. Or maybe you could put some Glitter Food over because it ate up the top coat a bit.
