Darling Diva Polish - Little Red Corvette

Solen skiner, grannen kapar ved och jag har ett av de finaste lacken jag burit på länge på naglarna!

Fick hem en ny liten beställning från Edgy Polish igår (som förresten har 10% på alla orders just nu) innehållande bl.a den här skönheten från Darling Diva Polishs Prince kollektion. Och på grund av det har jag gått omkring och gnolat på Little Red Corvette en hel dag.

Jag är faktiskt inte något större Prince fans, tyckte absolut inte om Purple Rain när den kom 1984, fast nu tycker jag den är helt ok. Litte Red Corvette har jag för mig att jag gillade bättre.

I alla fall så säger man ju att Kärleken består men föremålen skiftar och jag tycker det stämmer bra in på nagellack för det här är absolut min senaste kärlek i den kategorin.

Det här lacket har så mycket dimensioner i sig. Fullproppat av röda microglitter, prismatiskt glitter, lite lila och lite rosa. Enligt beskrivningen ska det kunna täcka på egen hand, men jag gjorde som Sminkan (där jag först såg det här och blev kär) och la det över ett rött skimmerlack. Två lager kändes lagom. Ett lager Glitterfood och så Fast Forward.

Jag tror helt ärligt inte att det finns några bilder som verkligen visar hur fantastiskt fint det här. Börjar nästan få ont i nacken av att titta ner på naglarna hela tiden!

 

The sun is shining and I have one of the nicest polishes I've ever worn on the nails!

Got home a new small order from Edgy Polish yesterday (which by the way has 10% on all orders right now), containing among other things, this beauty from Darling Diva polishs Prince collection. And because of it, I have gone around and sung on Little Red Corvette an entire day.

I'm actually not a big Prince fan, when Purple Rain was released in 1984 I really disliked it, though now I think it is quite ok. Litte Red Corvette, well I think I liked that one better actually.

In any case, there is a saying that love lasts forever but the subjuect of it changes and I think it fits well with nail polish because this is definitely my last love in that category.

This polish has so much dimension in it. Full of red micro glitter, prismatic glitter, a little purple and a little pink. The description says that it should be able to cover on it's own, but I did as Sminkan (where I first saw this and fell in love) and layered it over a red shimmer paint. Two layers of it and it felt perfect. A layer of Glitter Food and Fast Forward on top.

I honestly do not believe that there is some pictures that really shows how amazing this polish really is. I'm almost starting to get som pain in my neck from staring down at my nails all the time!

Grön Onsdag - ONE Paris Pond Manicure

Jaha, jag hade faktiskt inte alls planerat att det skulle regna idag! Inget swatchväder precis. Inget sitta i solstolen och läsa bok väder heller.

Och helt tvärtemot vad man kan tro så var det inte något sovväder heller. Gubben hade glömt att stänga av sin väckarklocka. Den ringde 06.15 och när jag precis kände att jag skulle kunna somna om ja då börjar grannen kapa ved!

Nåja, det är i alla fall Karins Gröna Onsdag och idag visar jag ett av mina första försök att göra en pond manikyr. Ett ganska enkelt, men väldigt effektfullt sätt att göra nailart. Man lägger på baslack, på det gör man prickar i vitt. Målar över med ett jellylack av valfri färg. Låter torka. Nya prickar och så fortsätter man så där till man är nöjd.

Själv är jag inte någon stor fan av jellys, men kom på att jag faktiskt fick med mig ett hem från Cypern förra året. Av ett märke som heter ONE Paris något namn har lacket inte, men jag misstänker att det är numrerat 980. Lacket är ganska ärtgrönt, vilket inte riktigt framkommer på bilderna. Lätt att applicera och helt ok torktid.

Jag har tre lager av prickar och tre lager av lack och ett lager med Fast Forward över det hela. Är nöjd med min kreation och kommer troligen att testa igen.

Well, I actually had not planned that it would rain today! No swatch weather exactly. No sitting in the sun and read book weather either.

And quite contrary to what you might think it was not sleeping late wether either. My old man had forgotten to turn off his alarm clock. It rang 6:15, and when I just felt I could fall asleep again my neighbor starts chopping woods with a machine that sounds really bad!

Oh well, it's all the same Karin's Green Wednesday and today I show one of my first attempts to make a pond manicure. A fairly simple, but very effective way to do nail art. You put on the base coat, the you makes dots in white over the base. Paint over with a jelly polish of the color you want. Let it dry. New spots and you continue like that til you are happy with the result.

I myself am not a big fan of jellys, but realized that I actually got one with me home from Cyprus last year. By a brand called ONE Paris with no name to the polish, but I suspect it is numbered 980. The polish is quite pea green, which not really emerge in the pictures. Easy to apply and ok drying time.

I have three layers of dots and three coats of lacquer and a layer of Fast Forward over it. I'm satisfied with my design and will probably try again with a different color.

Now that I'm back again from my vaccation I  have gone through the mails from my participents in the Giveaway that I've been hosting. I had my husband to push the botton on my Random Number Generator and the name that I found there is displayed above!

Some new polishes to my collection!

Jaha, då var man tillbaka i Sverige igen efter en vecka i värme på Cypern. Det roliga är att jag tycker det är en jobbigare värme här än vad jag tyckte där. Kanske för att man låg och plaskade i poolen mest hela tiden och hade All Inclusive med allt vad det innebär!

Nu kanske ni tror att jag ska visa upp en hel hög med lack som jag köpt på resan, men då tror ni fel. Jag har inte köpt ett enda lack. Det enda jag tänkte köpt (Chanel Taboo) var slut på flygplatsen så då blev det inga alls. Jag hittade inga kul i butikerna och faktum är att dom jag hittade inte var speciellt billiga.

Men, innan jag åkte så damp det ner lite rolig lackpost i min låda. Bland annat valda delar av A-Englands Burne-Jones kollektion köpta från Edgy Polish

Sen har jag fått en del av lacken från Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros. kollektion från min gulliga vänner i Födelsedagsgruppen, ett har jag bytt mig till och resten tog jag och köpte medans dom ännu finns kvar i Dollish Polish butik. Inte för att jag tycker dom är supervackra, men Super Mario ligger mig lite varmt om hjärtat liksom.

Well, then, I'm back in Sweden again after a week in the heat in Cyprus. The funny thing is that I think it's a worse heat here than I did there. Maybe because I was laying splashing in the pool most of the time and had all inclusive with all that implies!

Now you may think that I should show up a whole bunch of polish that I bought on the trip, but then you are wrong. I have not bought a single bottle. The only thing I was thinking of buying (Chanel Taboo) was out of stock at the airport so I didn't buy anything else either. I found no fun in the shops and in fact, the ones I found were not particularly cheap.

But, before I went there was a couple of nice parcels that arrived in my mailbox.  Among other selected parts of the A-England Burne-Jones collection bought from Edgy Polish

Then I've got some of the paint from Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros.. collection from my cute friends in the birthday group, one I have got through a swap and then the rest arrived that I bought directly from Dollish Polish store while they are still available. Not that I think they are super pretty, but Super Mario has a special place in my heart.

Zoya - Amy

Äntligen blev det av att jag tog fram och lackade med Zoya Amy som är ett av lacken i deras sommarkollektion Irresistible. Det här är nämligen lacket som jag valde att ha på naglarna under vår Cypern semester som när ni läser det här är inne på sin sista dag. Ikväll landar vi på Växjö flygplats igen.

Jag hade svårt att välja och frågade maken om det skulle vara diskret eller färgglatt. Han sa färgglatt och det kan man väl inte säga annat än att det blev.

Amy är helt underbart knallorange lack med mycket guldtoner i också. Ett foilshimmer som så många av Zoya lacken är helt suveränt att lacka med. Visst det behöver tre lager, men vad gör väl det med den här formulan och torktiden. Och så borsten förstås. Love it!

Jag har själv inte gjort någon jämförelse, men det här är väldigt likt China Glaze Riveting som är en av mina favoriter. Jag skulle tippa på att det här är lite grövre i strukturen än vad Riveting är. Får väl ta och göra en jämförelse vid något tillfälle.

Nu återstår väl bara en rapport om hur väl det här höll efter en vecka, men jag har inte tagit med mig något annat än en nagelfil i nagel/lackväg. Ska ha en välbehövlig lackpaus tänkte jag.

It was finally time for me to take out  Zoya Amy from my drawer and paint with it. Amy is one of the polishes in Zoyas summer collection Irresistible. Because this is the polish that I chose to have my nails during our Cyprus holiday that when you read this is already on its last day. Tonight, we arrive at Växjö airport again.

I had a hard time choosing, and asked my husband if I should have a discreet or colorful polish on. He said colorful and you can't blame this for not being colorful.

Amy is absolutely wonderful bright orange coat with gold tones too. A foilshimmer and like so many of Zoya polishes it's completely sovereign to paint with. Sure, it requires three coats, but who cares with this formula and drying time. And so the brush of course. Love it!

I myself have not done any comparison, but this is very similar to China Glaze Riveting which is one of my favorites. I would guess this is a bit coarser in texture than Riveting is. I might do an comparison at some point.

So what's remaining now I suppose is a report on how this looks after a week, but I have not taken anything other than a nail file with me when it comes to nailproducts. I decided to have a much needed paint break.
