Reader's Choice - Starrily Poisoned Apple

Det finns nagellack och så finns det NAGELLACK och det jag kommer visa er idag är ett av de sistnämnda. Hur menar jag nu tänker ni? Jo, alltså det finns lack som man gillar, det finns lack som man blir lite kär i och så finns det lack som man blir blixtförälskad i.

Starrily Poisoned Apple är min nya blixtförälskelse. Mörkt vinrött, vampigt, glittrigt, holobågar det har faktiskt precis allt som jag vill ha i ett lack. Ja, det är dessutom underbart att måla med och torkar fort. Vad mer kan man önska sig?

Det här är sjukt snyggt! Jag fick ett samtal om ett jobb igår som jag tyvärr inte kunde tacka ja till pga av mitt knä, men min första tanke var att ok jag är i alla fall redo för att kunna gå på intervju manikyrmässigt. Jag älskar det här lacket!

There are nailpolishes and there is NAILPOLISHES and what I will show you today is one of the latter. What does she mean you might wonder? Well, there is polishes that you like, there is polishes that you are in love with and there is polishes that make you feel like you've been hit by lightning.

Starrily Poisoned Apple made me feel thunderstroke. Dark burgundy, vampy, sparkling, holo it actually has everything that I look for in a polish. Yes, it's also wonderful to paint with and dries quickly. What else can you wish for?

This is just crazy beautiful! I had a conversation about a job yesterday, which unfortunately I could not say yes to because of my knee, but my first thought was that ok I am at least ready to go to an interview with this on the nails. I love this polish!

My top polishes 2016 part 1

Återigen ett riktigt GOTT NYTT ÅR! till er allihopa. Det har blivit en tradition att lista mina favoriter från det gångna året och som vanligt har jag valt att göra det i färg och finish kategorier.

Idag blir det färgkategorierna som presenteras och även i år har jag valt att inte välja bland lacken som kom ut 2016 utan bland de lack som jag visade 2016. Alltså kan det vara äldre lack som jag har gillat bäst.

Reader's Choice - Starrily Vladimir

Så var det redan lördag igen! Ska kanske baka lite, men för övrigt blir det nog mest fotografering och slöande som står på schemat.

Men vi börjar med denna veckas läsarnas val lack. Och vilket lack det är! Starrily Vladimir är ett mörkt lila lack med en helt fantastisk holoeffekt. Forumlan på lacket är riktigt bra och det täcker på två lager, kanske till och med på ett om man vill. Men, borsten i min flaska var spretig och en vid spretig borste är inte kul. Lack i nagelbanden är inte en favorit. Jag fick göra om en nagel för att det såg helt galet ut och utan att skryta så händer sånt nästan aldrig nuförtiden.

Färgen är dock helt galet vackert, så vackert att jag nästan kan förlåta den dumma borsten faktiskt. Det är den där typen av lack som du under tiden du målar även utstöter små galna glada läten för att det är så snyggt.

Det är ju snart jul, så visst är det lämpligt att ni får rösta på röda lack till nästa vecka.

So it's already Saturday again! I'm not having any big plans, maybe bake something, take some photos and just relaxe.

But we begin with this week's Readers' Choice polish. And what a polish this is! Starrily Vladimir is a dark purple polish with a fantastic holo. The formula on this is really good and it covers in two layers, perhaps even on one if you a careful. However, the brush in my bottle was sprawling and a wide sprawling brush is not fun. Polish in the cuticles is not a favorite. I had to redo at least one nail because of the brush and without bragging that doesn't happens often nowadays.

This polish is completely crazy beautiful, so beautiful that I can almost forgive the stupid brush actually. It's that kind of polish you make crazy little sounds while painting with just because it's so pretty.

Since Christmas is closing in I thought it would be good to let you vote on red polishes for next weeks reader's choice. 

Starrily - Miss Scarlet In The Ballroom

Någon mer än jag som älskar Cluedo? Jag kunde i alla fall inte låta bli att köpa Oktober månads Holo Hookup box eftersom den hade just Cluedo tema.

Först ut av lacken därifrån är Starrily Miss Scarlet In The Ballroom. Ett helt underbart vinrött holo som jag tror även har lite glitter i sig. I min flaska var penseln bred och spretig vilket gjorde att jag fick ner rött i nagelbanden om jag inte var tillräckligt försiktig och vinklade penseln helt rätt. Inte så kul när man ska försöka få manikyren att se snygg ut på bild också. Men i övrigt så var det en riktigt bra formula och det täcker på två lager. På bilderna har jag topplack på också.

Det är ju inte speciellt svårt att älska det här lacket. Helt ljuvlig färg och en riktigt snygg holo i det. Tyvärr drar penseln ner det hela lite, men inte tillräckligt för att jag ska hysa några större aggressioner mot det :)

Is there any other than me that loves Cluedo? I could in any case not resist buying Octobers Holo Hookup box because it had polishes with Cluedo theme.

First out of the four polishes is Starrily Miss Scarlet In The Ballroom. An absolutely wonderful burgundy holo that I think has some glitter in it too. Unfortunaly I had a very wide and sprawling brush in my bottle which meant that if I wasn't careful enough I got polish on the cuticles. Not fun with red polish when you also want it to look good in the photos. But otherwise it was a really good formula and it covers in two layers. In the pictures I have topcoat on too.

It's not particularly hard to love this polish. Absolutely lovely color and a really neat holo in it. Unfortunately the brush brought down things a bit, but not enough for me to get any really big aggressions against it :)

 

October Haul

Jag har inte så mycket att visa upp, men jag kunde inte låta bli att köpa The Holo Hookup i Oktober för det var ju med Cluedo tema, jag älskar Cluedo! Och så lite lack som jag köpte inför United In Pink veckan. Om mina intentioner lyckas så kommer det inte bli något haul inlägg i November. Min tanke är att hålla på mitt köpstopp, då jag redan nu vet att jag kommer få en lackkalender i år igen. Alltså blir det desto mer i December :)

I don't have that much to show, but I couldn't resist buying the October Holo Hookup box with Cluedo theme. That is one of my favorite board games. And some polishes that I bought to our United In Pink week. If my intentions work there will be no haul post in November. I will try the hardest I can to keep my no buy. I already now that I will get enough polishes in December since I will have another polish advent calendar :)

Reader's Choice - Starrily Orion's Belt

Precis hemkomna från skördemarknad med lite nytt att sätta i blomlådan här utanför. Men nu är det först dags att skriva dagens inlägg.

Förra veckans omröstning vanns av Starrily Orion's Belt. Ett lack med klar bas och microglitter i blått och prismatiskt. Glittret sprider sig lätt på nageln, men jag konstaterade att jag antingen skulle ha svampat på det eller målat över ett annat lack för att få det att täcka fortare. Jag målade två lager och sen svampade jag på ett tredje och sista. På det sättet täckte det helt ok. Torktiden var riktigt bra.

Det här torkar ganska matt, så topplack är ett måste för att få fram lackets gnistrande egenskaper. På fotona har jag ett lager med topplack, men jag la till ett andra också efteråt, det äter nämligen topplack rätt bra.

Det här är ju underbart glittrigt när solen eller någon typ av belysning kommer i närheten av naglarna. Utan direkt solljus har det fortfarande en fin blå färg, men blir inte lika kul. Jag tycker det är riktigt fint, men rekommenderar absolut att man lägger över ett annat baslack, tror det kommer till sin rätt allra bäst på det sättet.

Till nästa vecka blir det olika lack från samma märke att rösta på istället för tre i samma färgskala.

I just returned home from a farmers' market with some new plants to put in flower boxes outside. But first it's time to write today's post.

Last week's poll was won by Starrily Orion's Belt. A polish with a clear base and micro glitter in blue and prismatic. The glitter spreads easily on the nail, but I found that I either should have sponged on the glitter or painted it over another polish to get it to cover more quickly. I painted two coats and then sponged on the last third layer. That way I got it to cover really well. The drying time was really good.

This dries pretty dull, so topcoat is a must to make the polish sparkle the way it should. In the photos I have one layer of topcoat, but I added a second afterwards, it's one of those polishes that tend to eat topcoat.

This is glitters so wonderful in the sun or any with any other type of light hitting the nails. Without direct sunlight, it still has a nice blue color, but will not be as fun. I think it's really nice, but absolutely recommend to use it as a topper over another base, I think it comes into its very best that way.

For the next week there will be different polishes from the same brand to vote for instead of three in the same color range.

July Haul

I juli har det trillat in en del lack till min samling, men det är faktiskt bara ett enda av dessa lacken som jag köpt själv. Resten är presenter från mina underbara vänner i Födelsedagsgruppen.

Alltså tycker jag att jag varit en riktigt duktig flicka även denna månaden. Vi får väl se hur det går i Augusti. En liten resa till Prag kan ju förstöra de bästa intentioner :)

I have extended my collection pretty good in July but in my defense I would like to state that only one of these polishses have been bought by me. The rest is presents from my wonderful friends in our birthday group.

So I do think that I have been a pretty good girl. Well, not sure I will be as good in August. A weekend trip to Prauge could destroy the best of intentions :)
