Bow Nail Polish - Treehouse

Så skönt med fredag! Helgen får nog ägnas åt att rama in foton som jag ska ha till en liten utställning nästa helg.

Idag är det ju också holofredag hos Sminkan och jag har plockat fram ett lack som jag fick i min adventskalender nämligen Bow Nail Polish Treehouse. Ett gulgrönt holo som inte har så väldigt tydliga regnbågar i sig. Det här var lite skirt så jag har tre lager på bilderna. Det var absolut inget fel på formulan, men jag är inte så förtjust i korkarna till de här lacken. Den rektangulära formen gör att det inte är helt smidigt att hålla i. På bilderna har jag topplack över.

Färgen är härlig, men jag hade nog gärna sett att den varit lite mer skarpt grön, men den är absolut fin som den är nu med.

So nice with friday! I think this weekend will be devoted to framing photos that I will participate with in a small exhibition next weekend.

Today, it's also holofriday at Sminkans and I've picked up a polish I received in my advent calendar, named Bow Nail Polish Treehouse. A yellow-green holo that doesn't have very clear rainbows in it. This was a little sheer so I have three layers on in the pictures. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the formula, but I'm not so fond of the cork on these polishes. The rectangular shape makes it uneasy to hold. In the pictures I have topcoat over.

The color is lovely, but I would have liked it to have been a bit more green, but it is absolutely fine as it is now.

December Haul

December dök det upp en hel del nya lack till min samling. Dels så hade vi i födelsedagsgruppen hemlig tomte och sen hade ju min man och son ordnat adventskalender till mig också. Plus att det dök upp några Zoya lack som jag själv beställt. Nu i Januari så lär det bli skralt med nya lack, faktum är att jag inte tror att det kommer dyka upp något alls.

In December I got a lot of new polishes to my collection. Our Birthday Group had a Secret Santa and then my husband and son had made an Adventcalendar for me. Plus I got some Zoyas in the mail that I bought all by myself. January will be a lot calmer month when it comes to polishes. I actually don't think I will get any at all.

Reader's Choice - Bow Nail Polish Quasar

Hej på er! Här kommer veckans läsarnas val inlägg, något senare än vanligt då jag har ägnat större delen åt att vara på trav i Tingsryd. Och nej, det blev inga inkomster där inte, bara utgifter, men det var kul ändå.

Veckans lack är Bow Nail Polish Quasar och återigen var det en väldigt jämn omröstning. 

Quasar var smidigt att lacka med, men ganska skirt. Tre lager räckte dock för täckning och torktiden var bra. På bilderna har jag topplack på. 

Det här är ett duokrom lack som ska växla mellan guld och bronze enligt sidan där det köptes och det stämmer väl rätt bra även om jag tycker att det är mycket grönt i det också. Det finns även flakies i det.

Jag tycker att färgen är riktigt fin, men jag gillar inte flakiesarna. Förstår faktiskt inte anledningen till att dom är med i huvudtaget. För mig gör dom bara att lacket får en konstig finish och drar ned en hel del. Så om jag bedömer bara färgen så får det stort tummen upp, men i slutändan är jag inte helt nöjd i alla fall och det är pga flakiesen. 

Till nästa vecka har ni tre röda lack att rösta på. 

Hello! Here are this week's Readers' Choice posts, somewhat later than usual because I have spent the greater part of the day watching trotting races. And in case you are wondering I didn't make any profit from it rahter the opposit. But it was fun anyway.

This weeks polish is Bow Nail Polish Quasar and again it was a very close result.

Quasar was easy to paint with, but a bit sheer. Three layers was needed for coverage but the drying time was good. In the pictures I have topcoat on.

This is a duochrome polish that switch between gold and bronze according to the page where it was bought and I think that describes it pretty good although I think it's a lot of green in it too. There is also flakies in it.

I think the color is really nice, but I don't like the flakies. I really don't understand why they have added them at all. For me having them in the polish just gives it a strange finish and it takes down my impression of it a lot. So if I should judge this only by the color it would get big thumbs up, but in the end I have to judge the end result of the polish on the nails and I'm sorry to say that this doesn't work for me and it is because of the flakies.

For next weeks poll you'll have three red polishes to vote for. 

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Christmas Tree

Det är Winter Nail Art Challenge dag idag och temat det är julgranar. Jag fick en lite smågalen idé när jag satt med Bow Nail Polish First Light på naglarna. När jag gjorde den här manikyren kändes en vit jul väldigt långt borta. Gräset är grönt och det mest blåser, men snö det har vi ingen så varför inte göra julgranar på neonlack! 

Självklart fick det bli så, fram med stripingtejp, dottingtool, A-England Dragon och Zoya Rehka. Jag hittade dessutom en liten burk med julfigurer där jag hittade små stjärnor till toppen på granen. 

Resultatet blev en färgglad julmanikyr som jag tycker funkade alldeles utmärkt. 

It's Winter Nail Art Challenge Day today and the theme is Christmas trees. I got a little crazy idea when I sat with Bow Nail Polish First Light on the nails. When I made this manicure it felt like a white Christmas was very far away. The grass is green and outside it's most windy, but no snow so far so why not do Christmas trees on neon polish!

Obviously it had to be that way. I took out some stripingtape, dottingtool,  A-England Dragon and Zoya Rehka. I found furthermore a small jar with Christmas decor where I found small stars to use at the top of the tree.

The result became a colorful Christmas manicure which I think worked very well.

Bow Nail Polish - First Light

I lucka nummer två i min kalender hittade jag ett lack från för mig ännu ett nytt märke nämligen Bow Nail Polish.

Vad jag förstår så tillverkas det här av samma företag som gör Dance Legend.

First Light är ett limegrönt lack med silverskimmer även om det på Hypnotic Polish sida beskrivs som neongult så tycker jag ändå att det drar mer åt grönt. Det täcker riktigt bra för att vara åt neonhållet och det är dessutom en väldigt bra formula för den här typen av lack.

Jag upplevde inte alls att det blev strimmigt och täckningen var bra. Jag har tre lager utan något vitt under vilket funkar bra även om jag tror att lacket kanske skulle sticka ut ännu mer med ett vitt underlag. Torktiden var också mycket bra.

Allt som allt så är det här ett kul lack som jag gillar riktigt mycket. Min familj lyckades alltså igen. Fast lucka tre lyckades dom inte alls med för den innehåll enbart tre hasselnötter!!

 

Behind hatch numer two in my calendar, I found a polish from another for me new brand namely Bow Nail Polish.

As I understand it this is being made from the same company that makes Dance Legend.

First Light is a lime-green polish with silver shimmer even if the description on Hypnotic Polish website says that it's neon yellow.  I still think it draws more towards green. It covers really good for being a neon polish and moreover it has a very good formula for this type of polish.

I didn't feel at all that it turned streaky and the coverage was good. I have three layers without something white under which works well although I think the polish might stand out even more with a white base. The drying time was also very good.

All in all, this is a fun polish that I like a lot. My family succeeded again. But behind hatch number three I only found three hazelnuts... So they tricked me on that one!
