Kiko - 846

Bred men ändå lite rundad.

For three weeks I have had a nail that I have patched together, but now it had finally grown so much that I could cut it and the others down without any pain. So short nails, but not any patched which I think helps when you want to change polish often.

Today I show you a Christmas red and beautiful shimmer polish from Kiko that has the exciting name 846 or number, maybe I should say.

I liked the brush in this bottle. Wide but still a bit rounded. Easy to work with. Two layers of polish was enough for full coverage and the drying time was really good. In the pictures, I have no top coat on.

If you like red it 's hard not to like this polish and I like red so in my eyes, this is sovereign.

Läsarnas Val / Reader's Choice - Loreal Bling Bling Bang

Taking a break in cleaning and fixing the house to do a Readers' Choice posts. If truth be told, I didn't really worked that hard but I will.

The polish you chose last time it was readers' choice is Loreal Bling Bling Bang a polish that I got from my secret santa last year so it was high time that it would be used now. The polish consists of a blue jelly filled with dark blue glitter in different sizes. I'm pretty sure that you could get this to cover on it's own and then you get a deep blue sparkly manicure, but I chose to put it over a layer with Rainbow Honey Nyx.

Two layers on top of black and you have a wonderfully sparkly almost a bit mysterious manicure. It looks Super Nice. The glitters spread smoothly on the nail and dried really fast. I have a stock of Digital Flash over too. Two layers might not have been wrong.

I think this turned out really, really neat.

Friday again! I started this working week with a holo from Smitten Polish and I will finish the work week in the same way.

Today I have Enchanted Forest for you a wonderful green polish with strong holo. Maybe a bit too bright to be called forest green, but a very nice color. A little sheer perhaps, but three layers works perfectly and the drying time was great.

Obviously, I like this a lot. I know I usually say that purple is my favorite color on polishes, but I think it's a bit wrong actually because if you look at my collection, I would probably think that you will find more green than purple polishes.

Winter Nail Art Challenge - Lucia or Christmas Where You Live

OPI A Roll In The Hauge, China Glaze City Siren och OPI Coca Cola Red utgör flammorna.

I asked my son for some inspiration for nail art for today's theme. I had thought of doing something traditional on the Lucia theme like a crown of candles like the one she usually is wearing on the head or the red ribbon that all of the persons in the Lucia formation is wearing around the waiste or so, but no, he immediately said a fire like the one they tried to burn her on.

Well, it is a fact that the Lucia that we up here in Sweden are celebrating is partly based on a Catholic saint who is also the patron saint of the Sicilian city of Syracuse. According to one legend, she was sentenced to be burned to death for the simple reason that she refused to worship the Roman gods but was a Christian. The fire did not bite on her but left her untouched. There are lots of legends surrounding this Lucia, but my nail art was inspired by the very fire that could not devour her.

I found a great tutorial at Honeymunchkin about how you could do. Now mine didn't turn out quite as nice, but I really like it anyway. I have Zoya Creamy as the base. OPI A Roll In The Hauge, China Glaze City Siren and OPI Coca Cola Red represents the flames.
