Darling Diva Polish - Highway To Hell

Trodde ni jag kunde hålla mig från att testa något av Back In Black lacken. Nä, det gick bara inte.

En av mina favoritlåtar och har varit så sen min tonårstid när min äldre bror lyssnade mycket på hårdrock och även fick mig att gilla det (även om jag absolut inte erkände det då..) är Highway To Hell med AC/DC. När jag var tonåring så var det här riktigt hård och tuff musik. Nu när jag spelar AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Metallica och liknande tycker äldste sonen att det är ganska mesig musik. Jaja, för mig är det fortfarande musik med hög standard som jag älskar och gärna lyssnar till även om jag nu också inser att det som var hårt då är inte det nu. Jag erkänner villigt att det dyker upp extremt blandad musik på min Spotify lista. Allt från Josh Groban till Satyricon.

Men nu var det ju inte just det som inlägget skulle handla om utan det första lacket med AC/DC titel som jag bär på mina naglar just i skrivande stund. Ett svart jellylack med massa röda glitter i olika storlekar och både i metallic, matta och prismatiska.

Man kan använda det här helt själv, men eftersom jag inte är riktigt kompis med jellylack på egen hand så la jag det över ett svart krämlack. Två lager skulle räcka, men jag ville ha det där lilla extra så jag körde på med ett tredje också. Väldigt lättarbetat och torkade fort gjorde det också. Jag har ett lager med Poshé över. Vill man ha det superslätt kan man ta ett lager till, men det känns inte alls nödvändigt enligt mig.

Ni som läst min blogg tidigare i veckan kanske förstår att det var det här lacket som jag syftade på när jag skrev i Fright Night inlägget att jag väntade hem ett som jag hoppades skulle leva upp till mina förväntningar angående svart/rött glitter lack. Och det vill jag lova att det verkligen gör. Det var ju så här jag ville att FN skulle vara. Självklart kan man använda sig av ett "vanligt" rött glitterlack över ett svart också, men det blir faktiskt inte riktigt samma sak.

One of my favorite songs and has been so since my teenage years when my older brother listened to a lot of hard rock and even got me to like it (although I certainly did not admit to then...) is Highway To Hell by AC/DC. When I was a teenager, this was really hard and tough music. Now when I play AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Metallica  and similar my eldest son think that it is pretty lame music. Well, for me it's still music with a high standard which I love and is happy to listen to although I now realize that what was hard then might not be considered as hard now. I readily confess to having extremely mixed music on my Spotify list. Everything from Josh Groban to Satyricon.

But that was not what this post was supposed to be about. No it's about the first polish with AC/DC title that I have tried and is actually wearing on my nails right now. A black jelly polish with a bunch of red glitter in various sizes and in both metallic, matt and prismatic.

You can use this all by itself, but since I'm not really friend with jelly coat on it's own, I have put it over a black creme. Two coats would be enough, but I wanted a little extra so I went on with a third. Very easy to use and dried quickly. I have a stock of Poshé over. If you want a supersmooth surface you might take two coats of topcoat, but it does not feel necessary to me.

Those of you who read my blog earlier this week may understand that it was this polish that I was referring to when I wrote in the Fright Night post that I waited home one that I hoped would live up to my expectations regarding the black / red glitter polish. And I can tell you that it really does. That was how I wanted the FN to be. Of course you can use a "regular" red glitter polish over the black too, but it is not really the same thing.

Grön Onsdag - Depend 2052 Golden Black

Nu tycker jag att jag har hållit mitt eget löfte och faktiskt visat mer Depend här på bloggen som jag skrev för ett tag sedan.

Eftersom Karin godkände att jag fick vara med på Grön onsdag så uppdaterar jag inlägget lite :)

Idag tänkte jag visa er ett av lacken från Depends Mirage kollektion som är ganska ny ute i butikerna. Lite dyrare än dom vanliga flaskorna 39:- styck går dom här på om man inte som jag hittade dom när det var 10% för medlemmar på Kicks.

Återigen ett lack med en mycket trevlig formula. Torkade fort och bra också. Två lager har jag på och det behövs absolut inte mer. Ett lager Poshé över också.

Färgen är ju då lite mer svårbeskriven kan jag tycka som namnet antyder så ska det här vara Golden Black, fast jag är nog mer benägen att kalla det för Golden Green. Det är i och för sig en svart bas, men guldflakesen/glittret som är i skimmrar väldigt mycket åt det gröna hållet. Jag hade ju sett det här på massa av bloggar innan jag köpte själv. Älskat alla bilderna och tycker väl i och för sig att det är väldigt vackert, men det ger mig inte riktigt den kicken som jag tycker lacket förtjänar faktiskt.

Någon som däremot förtjänar mer uppmärksamhet är min lille rugguggla Tonks. Han är mitt inne i sin ruggning och ser faktiskt lite förfärlig ut så ni får ett litet extra foto idag.

I think I have kept my promise and actually showed more from the Swedish brand Depend on this blog. Which is what I promised to do a while ago.

Today I'm going to show you one of the polishes from Depends Mirage collection that is fairly new in the stores. A little more expensive than the usual bottles 39 SEK a bottle is what they cost unless you do as i did and bought them when it was 10% for members at Kicks.

Again, a polish with a very nice formula. Dried fast too. I have two layers on and you don't need anymore. Over it all there is a layer of Poshé.

The color's a little more difficult to described, I think, as the name suggests, this should be Golden Black, though I'm probably more inclined to call it Golden Green. It has a black base, but the goldflakes/glitter shimmers in an almost greenish color. I had seen this on numerous of blogs before I bought it myself. Loved all the pictures and yes I do think it's beautiful,, but it doesn't give me quite the rush that I think this polish deserves.

Someone who however deserves more attention is my little scruffy Tonks. He is in the midst of their moulting and actually looks a bit worn out out so you have a little extra photo today.

Cause I'm Back In Black!

Nej, nej jag har inte gått och blivit deprimerad eller så. Svarta kläder, ja, det har jag allt som oftast ändå.

Namnet på inlägget tyder på att jag fått hem lite nya flaskor som jag inte kunde låta bli att dela med mig av till er. Det är ett tag sedan jag bjöd på något haul inlägg, men det beror inte på att jag inte köpt något utan snarare på att det jag köpt inte varit speciellt unikt.

Idag däremot tittade mina barn lite konstigt på mig när jag kom hem. Mamma du har fått fyra paket på posten. Vet inte riktigt, men av någon anledning fick jag för mig att dom var lite trötta på mina ständiga leveranser och inte såg dom direkt imponerade ut när jag plockade upp lacken heller.

AC/DC var enligt yngste grabben absolut inget att döpa några lack efter. Äldste kunde väl i alla fall tycka att dom var ok, men inte tillräckligt för att han ska bemöda sig med att lyssna på dom.

Som ni nog förstår av detta så är det delar av Darling Diva Polish Back In Black kollektion som landade hemma hos mig idag (bland annat) med lack inspirerade av AC/DC låttitlar. Helt ärligt vem av oss har inte stått på dansgolvet och skrikit sig hes till TNT, Thunderstruck, Hells Bells och Highway To Hell?

Sen har jag även fyllt på samlingen med två fantastiska lack från The Hungry Asian och ett kanske inte så vackert men otroligt roligt från Happy Hands. Det kunde jag ju inte heller låta bli eftersom det är inspirerat från en av mina favorit tv-serier nämligen Arrested Development.

No, no I have not gone and become depressed or so. Black clothes, yes sure but that's nothing new to me.

The name of the post suggests that I got some new bottles that I could not help but share with you. It's been a while since I offered some haul posts, but it is not because I haven't bought anything, but rather that what I bought was not particularly unique.

Today, however, my kids looked at me a bit strange when I got home. Mom you've got four packages in the mail. Don't really know, but for some reason I imagined that they were a little tired of my constant deliveries and did not seem to be immediately impressed when I picked up the polishes either.

AC/DC was according to my youngest son absolutely nothing to baptize some polishes after. The elder one was more like well they are ok but not more than ok. Not ok enough for him to listen to it though.

As you probably guessed by now part of the polishes that landed in my mail today was parts from Darling Diva Polish Back In Black collection with polishes inspired by AC / DC song titles. Honestly who of us has not stood on the dance floor and shouted themselves hoarse to TNT, Thunderstruck, Hells Bells and Highway To Hell? I know I did anyway!

Then I've also filled the collection with two amazing polish from The Hungry Asian and one perhaps not so beautiful but incredibly fun from Happy Hands. I had to have it because it is inspired by one of my favorite TV shows, namely Arrested Development.

Girly Bits - Fright Night

Här blir det tvära kast!

Tänkte att ni behövde se något helt annat än gult idag så det blir raka motsatsen och faktiskt ett Halloween lack.

Girly Bits Fright Night är ett lack som jag var grymt sugen på att äga och när jag hittade på rea hos Llarowe kunde jag inte låta bli att slå till.

Det är en svart jelly bas som är full med rött glitter i olika storlekar och former. I mitt huvud så är det här ett lack som jag var helt säker på att jag skulle älska. Rött och svart är liksom min grej.

Jag la två lager av Fright Night över ett svart kräm lack.

Älskar jag det då?. Visst formulan och torktiden är jättebra och färgerna, tja dom älskar jag ju, men...

Varför kan inte jag lära mig att det spelar ingen roll om konceptet och färgerna är rätt när det finns strängglitter i lacket. Här är det väldigt små strängar, men det kan inte hjälpas. Jag trivs helt enkelt inte i det. Så nu står mitt hopp till nästa liknande lack som jag har på väg hem. Vilket får ni se vid ett senare tillfälle.

Thought you needed to see something completely different than yellow today so it will be just the opposite and actually a Halloween polish.

Girly Bits Fright Night is a polish that I was really eager to own and when I found it on sale at Llarowe I could not help but to strike.

It's a black jelly base that is full of red glitter in different sizes and shapes. In my head, this is a polish that I was quite sure I would love. Red and black is kind of my thing.

I put two layers of Fright Night over a black creme.

Do I love it?. Sure the formula and drying time is great and the colors, well I love them, but ...

Why can't I learn that it does not matter if the concept of the polish and the colors are right when there are string glitter in the polish. In this the strings are very tiny, but I can't help it. I simply don't like them small or not. So now my hope is in the next similar polish that I have on the way home. What polish will be my secret until it has landed in my postbox.

Påsk Tema / Easter Theme - Easter Marble

Tiden går fort när man har roligt! Idag är det redan Annandag Påsk och sista lediga dagen. Tänkte njuta rejält av denna ska jag medge. Det vill säga inte göra någonting vettigt alls.

Idag är ju då också sista dagen i mitt lilla minitema och efter dom här dagarna är mina naglar lika gula som lacken jag har burit. Har spenderat morgonen med att gnida med bakpulver blandat med citron och även suttit med fingrarna doppade i Corega lösning. Mindre gula? Hm, marginellt, men å andra sidan så springer jag ju sällan runt med nakenchock på naglarna så det kvittar faktiskt.

Tänkte avsluta med en riktigt lyckad marble. För att vara på den säkra sidan så gjorde jag bara marblen på en accentnagel.

Själva marblen är gjord med hjälp av China Glaze Sweet Hook, OPI Planks A Lot och Zoya Monica dom övriga naglarna har jag OPI Fiercely Fiona i tre lager. Hela manikyren avslutades med ett lager Poshé.

Njut nu av sista dagen i påskhelgen och ut i det fina vädret med er!

Time flies when you're having fun! Today it's already Easter Monday and the last day off. I will enjoy this day and I have to admit that my plan is to do absolutely nothing!

Today's also the last day of my little mini-theme and after this my nails are actually as yellow as the polishes that I've been wearing. Have spent the morning with rubbing with baking soda mixed with lemon and even sat with the fingers dipped in Corega solution. Less yellow? Hm, marginally, but on the other hand, I hardly ever run around without polish so it really dosen't matter that much.

Thought I would end this years Easter Theme with a really successful marble. But to be on the safe side I only did the marble on an accentnail.

The actual marble is made by using China Glaze Sweet Hook, OPI Planks A Lot and Zoya Monica the other nails is painted with OPI fiercely Fiona in three layers. And on topp there is a layer of Poshé.
