Smitten Polish - Electric Lime

 Söndagskväll igen och jag måste strax ta mig samman och ta bort lacket jag har på. Idag har vi varit en sväng i Åsnens nationalpark och fotat bokskog. Så vackert där just nu plus att vi slapp regn och inte var det speciellt mycket folk heller. Annars har det mest varit en slö helg. Eller jag har fotat väldigt mycket. Nu är jag så trött så ögonenlocken håller på att trilla ned hela tiden, men tänkte jag skulle bjuda på en gammal goding först. 

Smitten Polish (nu Dreamland Lacquer) Electric Lime visades senast här på bloggen i maj 2017 och vad jag vet har jag inte använt det sedan dess. Lacket har samma färg som nyss utslagna boklöv konstaterade jag innan idag. Eller kanske är det lite ljusare. Det är ett holo och med en bra holoeffekt dessutom. Två lager räcker och det är underbar formula på det här. 

Eftersom jag inte kan bära speciellt mycket lack i veckorna så blir jag extra sugen på riktigt färgglada när jag väl målar och det här är väl färgglatt om något. Älskar färgen, älskar att det är holo, tja jag älskar allt med det här lacket.  

Sunday night again and I have to get myself together soon and remove the polish I have on. Today we have been to the Åsnen National Park and photographed beech forest. So beautiful there right now plus we escaped rain and there were not very many people either. Otherwise, it has mostly been a lazy weekend. Or I have taken a lot of photos. Now I'm so tired that my eyelids are falling down all the time, but I thought I would offer you an oldie but goldie first.

Smitten Polish (now Dreamland Lacquer) Electric Lime was last shown here on the blog in May 2017 and as far as I know I have not used it since. The polish has the same color as freshly cut beech leaves, I stated before today. Or maybe it's a little brighter. It is a holo and with a good holo effect as well. Two layers are enough and there is a wonderful formula on this.

Since I can not wear very much polish in the weeks, I get extra craving for really colorful when I paint and this is certinaly well colorful if anything. Love the color, love that it is holo, well I love everything with this polish.

Reader's Choice - Smitten Polish Date Night

Idag har vi firat min man som fyllde år. Firat lite enkelt med svärmor och kompisar på fika. Helgen har annars ägnats åt lite städning. Har även hunnit igen HBOs kostymdrama om Katarina den stora. Helt ok, riktigt duktiga skådespelare och stora kostymdraman är ju roliga att titta på bara för att se kläder och inredning.

Idag är sista läsarnas val med rosa som tema, nästa helg är det inte längre oktober utan november plus att jag kan nog redan nu förvarna om att det kan bli tunt med inlägg just den helgen eftersom vi åker till sonen i Uppsala. Men i alla fall vi avslutar denna rosa månad med ett av mina absoluta favoriter bland mina rosa lack. Kanske det som fick mig att börja gilla rosa ordentligt till och med. Det här är Smitten Polish (nu Dreamland Lacquer) Date Night. Ett riktigt knallrosa holo. Ljuvligt att jobba med och två lager plus topplack är vad jag har på bilderna.

Det här lacket kan man bara inte låta bli att älska. Bara titta liksom, blir du inte glad av färgen? Ja, då vet jag faktiskt inte riktigt hur jag ska kunna få dig på bra humör. Mig funkar den utmärkt på i alla fall :)

Today we have celebrated my husband who is having a birthday. No big celebrations but my mother-in-law and some friends came over for coffee. Otherwise, the weekend was devoted to a little cleaning. Has also regained HBO's costume drama about Catherine the Great. Absolutely ok, really good actors and great costume dramas are fun to look at just to see clothes and decor.

Today is the last reader's choice with pink as the theme, next weekend it's no longer October but November plus I can already already warn that it can be thin with posts just that weekend because we are going to our son in Uppsala. But at least we end this pink month with one of my absolute favorites among my pink polishes. Maybe the one that thought me to like pink polishes. This is Smitten Polish (now Dreamland Lacquer) Date Night. A really bright pink holo. Lovely to work with and two layers plus topcoat is what I have in the pictures.

You just can't help loving this polish. Just look at it, don't you get happy just by seeing this color? Well, if you don't, then I really don't know how to get you in a good mood. It works great on me anyway :)

Time for some China Glaze again for next time.

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Geometric #2

Idag har sonen och jag varit och tränat och ikväll ska vi på Inlåst och sen ut och äta på en restaurang jag aldrig varit på förr och som har mycket Japansk mat. Ska bli spännande minsann.

Självklart har jag fixat till naglarna också och denna gång så det skulle passa till Nail Challenge Collaboratives geometriska tema och till holofredag hos Sminkan. Basen är Essie SKÅL! och jag har använt vinyler för att se till att få en pyramid på naglarna. Lacket jag använt mig av är Smitten Enchanted Forest.

Det här gillar jag! Enkelt, effektfullt och en nail art som går att variera med färger i all oändlighet.

Today, the son and I have been to the gym and tonight we will go to and try to get us out from an Escape Room challenge and also try a restaurant I have never been to before. They have a lot of Japanese food. Really looking forward to this.

And of course, I've done a little make over on my nails and this time a nail art that would fit Nail Challenge Collaborative's geometric theme and to the HoloFriday at Sminkan. The base is Essie SKÅL! and I have used vinyls to make sure to get a pyramid on the nails. The polish I used is Smitten Enchanted Forest.

I like this! Simple, effective and a nail art that can be varied in soo many ways with different colors.

Smitten Polish - Zelda's Fall-ly

Glad Midsommar på er allihopa! Själva ska vi fira med fina vänner dagen lång, med både sill, nypotatis och grillat. Och jordgubbar förstås.

Men vi får ju inte glömma att det också är fredag och det betyder ju holofredag hos Sminkan. Jag har plockat fram ett lack som kom redan 2013 och som jag köpt via en blogsale. Ett lack som har en lite höstigare röd färg med ett härligt holo i sig. Det här är Smitten Polish Zelda's Fall-ly (nuvarande Dreamland Lacquer). Riktigt bra att måla med och två lager räcker gott. På bilderna har jag topplack över.

Visst det här har lite mer höstkänsla över sig i den röda tonen, men vad gör väl det? Helt fantastisk färg som jag tycker funkar alldeles utmärkt att fira Midsommar i.

Happy Midsummer to all of you! We are going to celebrate with friends all day long, with herring, fresh potatoes and barbequet. And strawberries of course.

But we must not forget that it is also Friday, and that means HoloFriday at Sminkans. I have picked up a polish that came in 2013 and I bought through a blog sale. A polish that has a slightly autumn red color with a beautiful holo. This is Smitten Polish Zelda's Fall-ly (current Dreamland Lacquer). Really good to paint with and two layers are good enough. In the pictures I have topcoat over.

Sure this has a little more autumn feeling in the red tone, but who cares? Absolutely amazing color that I think works great to celebrate Midsummer in.

Smitten Polish - Electric Lime

Det är grön onsdag hos Karin och jag visar en Indieklassiker. Tycker jag i alla fall.

Smitten Polish (nu Dreamland Lacquer) Electric Lime är ett giftgrönt holo eller ljusgrönt, men giftgrönt låter roligare tycker jag. Det har en helt underbar formula och även om jag tänkte vid första lagret att oj vad det här var skirt, så täcker det ändå på två lager. Torktiden var riktigt snabb och på bilderna har jag topplack på. Holoeffekten i lacket är också riktigt bra.

Oj, oj, oj vilket lack. Man kan ju inte annat än att älska det. Härligt skrikgrönt, med massor av regnbågar. Jag älskar det här!

It's Green Wednesday at Karins and I'm showing an Indian classic. That's what I think, anyway.

Smitten Polish (now Dreamland Lacquer) Electric Lime is a poison green holo or light green, but poison green sounds more fun. It has a very wonderful formula and although I thought at the first layer that wow this is sheer, it still covers in two layers. The drying time was really fast and I have topcoat over in the pictures. The holo in this polish is also really good.

Oh, oh, oh what a polish. You can't help yourself from loving it. Beautiful crazy green, with lots of rainbows. I love this!

My top polishes 2016 part 2

Då är det dags för lista nummer två med favoriter från olika finishar. Men först gör jag som vanligt och bjuder på lite statistik.

När jag skrev förra årets lista hade jag den 28/12 2015 718 lack i min samling. Då hade jag minskat inköpen från 2014 ganska rejält. Jag vet att jag minskat inköpen rätt en hel del under 2016, men jag har samtidigt fått en hel del pressutskick och lacken från min älskade födelsedagsgrupp och adventskalender fyller på en del, så låt oss ta en titt på hur statistiken ser ut nu. Idag är det den 3/1 2017 och i min helt uppdaterade lista finns 856 lack, dock är det här en sanning med modifikation då alla presslacken inte är med här. Bara de som faktiskt visats. Jag har under året sålt av en del lack också så den här siffran betyder att jag under 2016 ökat min samling med 138 lack vilket betyder 11,5 lack per månad. 2015 var siffran 7,75. Jag trodde nog faktiskt att siffran skulle vara lägre, men jag ser det som så här: Lack gör mig lycklig och alltså är varenda ett en investering i glädje.

Jag ska fortsätta att försöka dra ner på inköpen dock, min inkomst är typ 0 just nu och jag har ju faktiskt ett och annat att använda redan ;)

Men nu till dagens lista.

So it's time for list number two with my favorites from various finishes. But first, I will as usual bring you some statistics.

When I wrote last year's list I had 718 polishes in my collection the 28th of December 2015. I had reduced my purchases from 2014 quite significantly. I know that my purchases have gone done a lot in 2016, but I have also received a lot of press samples and polishes from my beloved's birthday Group and from the Adventcalendar that makes up for that. So let's take a look at how the statistics looks now. Today is the 3d of January 2017 and my fully updated list says 856 polishes, however, this is a truth with modification because all of the press samples is not included here. Only those who actually been written about. During the year I sold off  pretty many polishes too so this figure means I in 2016 increased my collection with 138 polishes which means 11.5 polishes per month. In 2015 the figure was 7.75. I actually thought that the figure would be lower, but I see it like this: Polishes makes me happy and so is every one an investment in joy.

I'll continue to try and cut down on purchases since my income is kind of zero right now and to be honest I think I have one or two polishes that I can use already ;)

My top polishes 2016 part 1

Återigen ett riktigt GOTT NYTT ÅR! till er allihopa. Det har blivit en tradition att lista mina favoriter från det gångna året och som vanligt har jag valt att göra det i färg och finish kategorier.

Idag blir det färgkategorierna som presenteras och även i år har jag valt att inte välja bland lacken som kom ut 2016 utan bland de lack som jag visade 2016. Alltså kan det vara äldre lack som jag har gillat bäst.

Reader's Choice - Smitten Polish Nose So Bright

På julafton hann jag inte fixa till ett inlägg med läsarnas val, men på naglarna satt det röda underbara lack som ni valt åt mig. Tänkte att vi istället skulle avsluta det här året med ett av de snyggaste lacken jag vet.

Ni röstade fram Smitten Polish Nose So Bright åt mig. Ett helt ljuvligt rött holo. Lacket täcker utan problem på två lager, torkar fort och sa jag möjligen att det är helt ljuvligt? På bilderna har jag som vanligt topplack på.

Alltså det här lacket! Jag tog inte bort det förrän i torsdags tror jag och då såg det fortfarande riktigt fint ut. Helt ärligt så hade jag inte haft något problem med att sätta på en ny omgång av det. Om jag tröttnat på röda lack så här efter jul? Nej, inte det minsta :)

Jag vill självklart också passa på att önska er alla ett riktigt GOTT NYTT ÅR! och givetvis ge er chansen att rösta fram vilket lack som ska bli 2017 års första läsarnas val.

I didn't get the time to make a blogpost on Christmas Eve, but the polish that you chose for me was on my nails. And what a polish that is! Thought we'd rather finish this year with one of my absolute favorite polishes.

You voted for Smitten Polish Nose So Bright. An absolutely adorable red holo. The polish covers without problems in two layers, dries quickly and did I say that it's absolutely adorable? In the pictures I have topcoat on.

This polish! I had it on for five or six days and it still looked greatt. Quite honestly I wouldn't had any problems with putting on a new round of it. Have I gotten tired of red polish now that Christmas is over? No, not the least :)

What happened to my 2015 favorites? Part 1

Så här på årets sista dagar bjuder traditionen att jag ska redogöra för vad som faktiskt hände med mina favoriter bland lacken förra året. En tradition som oftast blir ganska pinsam, men ändå känns lite intressant.

Det jag går igenom är om jag har använt favoriterna under det gångna året och om jag faktiskt har kvar dom i min samling. Som den lackgalning jag är brukar den här listan få mig att förstå att jag nog ska dra ner lite på min konsumtion och ge de redan existerande lacken lite mer kärlek.

När jag gör mina topplistor brukar de vara uppdelade i färg och finish och så är även de här inläggen. Texterna under bilderna kommer att vara på engelska så jag slipper att skriva dubbelt.

This year is soon over and a fresh one will start. This is a season for traditions and one of the traditions at Lacky Corner is to go through the of my favorites from the year before this and check if I have used them again or if I still have them in my collection. A tradition that usually gets quite embarrassing, but still feels a bit interesting.

As the polish hoarder I am this list usually makes me think that maybe I should stop buying more and instead give some love to those who already are in my collection.

Purrfect Pawlish Yellow Lion. Would dare to take a guess... No pricemoney though. No it hasn't been used again.

Superficially Colorful Lacquer Utral Aymokriyä. No not once this year.

China Glaze Lady and the Vamp has not been used again.

Smitten Polish Date Night and yes finally a polish that has been used again!

Delush Polish Glam Squad has been standing unused in the drawer this year.

Glimmer by Erica Un-Teal We Meet Again is another that sadly has not been used.

Ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights is another polish that hasn't been used.
