I really like Harry Potter has and have seen the movies countless times and read all the books aloud for my sons. Therefore, I was very happy when Katarina at Edgy Polish sent me a polish from Polish TBH Diagon Ally collection for me to review.

Thestral is a black jelly polish with silver and lavender glitter in. There is also a little prismatic and black glitter. A Thestral is in the Harry Potter books a magical creature that only those who have seen death can see. Harry who had seen his parents get killed is of course one of those who see these creatures.

In the movies and in the books they are not the most beautiful creatures, but I think that the polish is. I think the balance between glitter and base coat is completely passable. Just like a Thestral it does get a little magical.

I have three layers but I think that four thinner ones could have been better because it dried a bit slow this way. Nothing that a good topcoat couldn't fix though.

It is Midsummer Day and I suspect that quite a large part of our Swedish population is tired today. So even me.

You may be wondering why this isn't a Reader's Choice post, we'll see if it comes up later today or if I let you wait until next week.

Instead, I thought I would let you see another polish from Polish TBH that I have been privileged to try. This polish is called Circus. The formula feels a little bit like a crelly and the base is a light blue color that I almost would call baby blue. The polish has also a very fine micro gold glitter and red slightly larger hexagons.

The formula was something a bit thick but still manageable. I had no problem getting the bigger glitters to spread out on the nail without having to fish them up from the bottle and that is a big plus. I have three layers on, but maybe could have stopped at two. And a layer of Poshé as well.

I think the color combo in this polish was really fun and the gold in it enhances the polish. Because the basecolor is so discreet, I want to once again call this a discreteblingbling polish. A kind of polish that you can wear even if you're not used to wearing glitter polishes or if you want something extra even though you do not want to stand out.

This polish and more from Polish TBH is available at Edgy Polish. And this is also the last day of Edgy Polishs Midsummer offer. Order for 400 SEK or more and you will get a surprise polish in your shipment.

Stamping with Mentality Emily and Vivid Lacquer plates!

Stamping plate sent out for review

Vivid Lacquers stamping plates is something I've been curious about for quite some time actually and when Katarina on Edgy Polish got them in stock and additionally asked if I wanted to try one I obvious said yes with a big smile.

Everything I used in this manicure is actually things you can find at Edgy Polish. The base is the polish I showed yesterday Polish TBH Pathos. The pattern comes from Vivid Lacquer plate 14 and the polish I made the pattern with is Mentality Emily.

What do I think about this plate then? The patterns are very well etched and follows nicely on to the stamp.

The patterns are really big. If you look at the picture with the plate and then compare with what I have on the nail you will see that it is perhaps a third part of the pattern. I however sees that as an advantage. Not only is it good if you have much wider nails than I have but also it gives you more than just one choice of manicure from one image. The pattern was not so deeply etched that it was difficult to clean the plate which is always an advantage, I think.

I can also see this one used over a much brighter color stamped with white and then filled in with so called leadlight technique.

I like how the colors worked together between Pathos and Emily and I like the pattern, although I admit that I maybe this time did not get to it one hundred percent perfect, but I blame my cold for that!

In Sweden we celebrate Midsummer today so to all of you from me: Have a HAPPY MIDSUMMER!

I'm going to admit I feel a bit sorry for myself actually. I had not planned to be get a super cold and a fever just in time for our Swedish Midsummer celebration! Well, at least I have been out of bed for a little while todya and even managed to paint my nails.

The polish is a one that I have received from Edgy Polish and it's from a new brand for the shop called Polish TBH. This is also a new brand for me. There were several colors which I thought looked nice, but as so many times before there was a red one that cought my eyes a little more than the others.

Pathos is a red shimmer and in the bottle it looks to have very much blue shimmer, but on the nail, it turns out that it is actually the pink that is most visible. Somewhat surprisingly, actually. The formula was good if somewhat a bit harsh if you tried to fix something. If you are not careful you might drag the already painted polish with you. The coverage was very good and two coats was enough. I also have layer of Poshé over it.

Now you may think I don't like this because it was pink shimmer, but you have it wrong. For sure the pink clearly shows in the pictures and it shows clearly in real life too, but I like it. I like the red basecolor that is so nice and the shimmer makes it get a lot more life in it. I had clearly preferred more blue, but you can't have everything and this is still a very beautiful polish that I like very much.

Would you like to try this or anything else from Polish TBH they are now available at Edgy Polish which also has an offer for an extra suprise polish in your order if you shop for 400 SEK (about 60 USD) or more until the 21th of June.
